Comics Could you date Rogue?

I'm both incredibly amused and horrified by this thread.

My answer has set conditions.

a) If I was a lesbian...

b) If she was pre-X Men Rogue, as in all bad-ass and...um...butch.

c) If Gambit could jump in too...also, if HE was pre-X Men Gambit.

I dont get why Gambit nor any of the other X-men suggested she used one of the power inhibitors. Joseph at least did although he went through some pretty complicated means to do so when its really simple

The simple answer to that question is ANGST. The writers ignore power inhibitors with Rogue because if she's not angsty, she's not a real character.

Which is rather baffling, seeing as how Rogue obviously knows they work. Even ignoring the Joseph thing... there was the whole bit on the eve of Gambit's trial too. Though the inhibited powers thing wasn't by choice.

I didn't know where to post this, but this should do.

So would you be able to date Rogue, knowing that you couldn't be physically close to her? This is ignoring any canon where she's miraculously lost her mutation.

I guess you could always have Leech sit nearby with a magazine and some headphones while you rock the casbah.

I could see Leech being traumatized by that.

ROTFLMAO. Oh dear. Poor Leech, lol.

Eh, he'd have to suck it up and deal. Emma would want to borrow him once Rogue was done so Scott could lose the shades, and who knows what the poor boy would be like after spending a night in Ms. Frost's bedroom? :woot:

How could Scott possibly satisfy Emma with his eyeballs?

(and if you do know a way, PM me :oldrazz:)

I'm sure there's a fetish that includes eyes somewhere out there. :oldrazz:

Seriously, though, Emma has always wanted Scott to see Scott without the glasses (see Phoenix: Endsong). Heck, the recent scene in Astonishing #25--where Scott and Emma wake up in bed--came about because someone made the request of Ellis that he include a Scott/Emma visorless love scene, IIRC.

*tries very hard not to think about the implications of that statement*

:cwink: :woot:

He'd have to share a hiding spot with logan though. You all know he sneaks in for a peak almost every night.

Nah. I expect Scott and Emma got tired of throwing Logan out after the first dozen times they caught him spying on them. They probably just keep a modified doggy bed or something in the corner for him so he doesn't get in their way.
