Crappiest Horror Movie Remake?

Well it's a stoss up between TCM: The Beginning, House of Wax and Psycho. Psycho was the most morally offensive and disgust-inducing of the three but House of Wax was a worse movie, so I voted for it.

For the record I never saw The Grudge 2 or The Hills Have Eyes 2, so I could not consider those. Also Dawn of the Dead was a very good movie that did its own thing with the same premise. Kind of like what Zombie started to do with the first half of Halloween before falling into the remake trap in the second half and redoing the first if it was a simple slasher movie. Still better than almost everything on that list, though. Oh and The Ring was also a good horror remake, too though.

i liked most of them actually. i havent seen wicker man but after that you tube video poked fun at it i couldnt watch it. i like the new chainsaw movies particulary because the sequel to the original with dennis hopper is one of the worst movies ever made.

Zombie's Halloween is a friggin masterpiece compared to Wicker Man and House of Wax. At least it was disturbing. Most of the bad movies on the list didn't even do that right.

Not seen the new wicker man, but if you take the difference in quality of the original to the remake, then psycho easily wins this, being one of the single greatest horror films of all time, and then a remake which is piss poor. The difference between the two is horrific!

Wicker Man was my pick from the choices, and the Omen was very lame. But the Fog WITHOUT A DOUBT should be on that list and targeted by all you hosers bagging on Halloween.

Halloween (2007) was needed to be seen with an open mind. Regardless of the quality of the film, it was meant to be Rob Zombie's vision. It never was meant to be compared, and shouldn't be compared to the original. Besides, some of the movies on this poll are so bad, it'd make you sick.
