Comics Create new Mutant Powers!!

Alright this is not a create a character thread, just purely new powers or different spins on old abilities.

Let's see who can be the most original!

Also pick which powers on the poll is the most overused.

I know it's not really original, but how about Spectral Manipulation? It's the ability to manipulate the light spectrum to make things invisible, create illusions, create blinding light, darken areas, change colors, infared scanning, UV scanning, magnifying imagery-- pretty much everything that has to do with light.

Telekinetic Radar: A soft form of TK that expands outward, altering the user to all nearby shapes and objects.

Telepaths are the most overused to me.

Personally for a new power, I'd have someone who can release non-harmful beams from his/her hands that cause chain reactions with others powers or things in the environment. This person would be like a living link that could cause catostrophe indirectly.

Hope that sounds cool.

Krystalin, from X-Men 2099, kind of had that power. She pulled minerals from the air to form solid cyrstal structures.

Doesn't Bobby just take the mosture out of the air to do that stuff? I don't think he just "projects ice". He creates ice by manipulating mosture in the air...or in his own body...etc.

Kitty kinda does that.

Power to just be a freak.

I think everything is taken which is why we see crappy mutants like Beak and that girl that looks old.

Some of the more interesting powers have been those that utilise energy for manipulations that arent just blasting. Like Sebastian Shaw converting any energy used against him into physical strength and durability. Rogues power was quite genius when it forst came out. Now there are a few people wandering around with similar powers to sap energy from people or mimic their powers - detracts from the appeal of the original character.

Wasn't that Crystal from X-Men 2099?... She could create crystal shards and objects... A rip off of Iceman and Emma... Only African-American.

Although, if I had to choose someone's powers, it would HAVE to be Iceman's abilities. I mean the pure applications of any water based ability would be endless. In fact, I could go as far as creating life, colonize other planets to plant the seeds, and move on to the next life sustaining planet to create more. I'd be a God... After all, water and ice is forever. The only problem I foresee would be propulsion from one planet to the next. It would be a very slow process, but being made of water/ice, it's not like I'd have a choice. Unless I hitch a ride on a comet or astral body.

I'd then let a few million years pass and check up on my creations. And if things weren't progressing in a positive society (wars, famine, envy, greed, etc.) I'd destroy the beings causing these problems, and let the lesser beings evolve.

Liquid adamantium, so when Wolvie pops his claws they can take different shapes of different weapons then harden when he attacks.
