Infinity War Crowd Reactions

The casual fans/general audience I could hear were behind me at the back of the cinema, laughing at all the jokes. The MCU fans behind me would join in specific moments but mostly started chit chatting on specific stuff. They definitely started murmuring when Red Skull showed up.

People cheered when Cap showed up (I'm shocked at how many crowd reactions seem to get this, despite how happy as I am to hear and report it), and they cheered again at Thor's Wakanda entrance.

Everyone kinda gasped at the end of the movie and I could hear everyone theorizing about what's gonna happen next. And again, the fanboys were showing off their know-it-all attitude with having read up rumors and what-not.

I've never been in a crowd that-more intimately engaged before, so that's cool to see how invested they've become in the franchise.

It sounded like my audience didn't understand who the they were referencing in the end credits. No cheers, but I heard a "what?" And "that's it?"

People were taken by surprise with the Red Skull.

Also, they laughed at everything. Even the scenes when Ebony Maw froze in space and every scene with The Dwarf. This guy kept saying "it's a giant midget" to draw laughs.

When ever one was vanishing, everyone was quiet throwing thwir hands up and skaing their heads in disbelief.

I don't know if it was just because my crowd was fairly quiet anyway, but everyone was just dead quiet during those great sparse-and-spartan simple end credits.

:) Loved that directorial choice too, just a total lack of the usual (cool, but unfitting for this) animation sequences. Just black screen, simple font, Alan's beautifully-depressing composition playing. Really set a mood, everyone was just dead silent.

I noticed the credits as well and likened it to finishing a Game of thrones episode where some F'd up **** just happened and you're sitting there in stunned silence as the credits roll with somber music lol.

Strange's Shiva moment drew huge gasps.
Rightfully so. The single most striking image in this film.

People were crying in my theatre, I got pretty choked up a few moments at the end.

My crowd was a bit smaller, so no big cheers

But i did hear gasps during the ending, some good chuckles throughout, with Drax getting the biggest laughs, and yeah, definitely some excited whispering from that surprise cameo

Didnt hear any crying, but I know I was misty AF during [BLACKOUT]Pete’s[/BLACKOUT] death

Standing ovation when

Thor came to Wakanda!

In England in a small midday crowd, so we politely made approving noises and then had a cup of tea.

2 Girls cried in the end. Via the credits no one said a word, all still shocked. That was a premier.

The most cheers at my showing happened when:

Cap appeared out of the shadows.

The first panoramic view of Wakanda.

Thor showing up in Wakanda.

Red Skull (more gasps then cheers really).

When the camera first zoomed in on Peter Dinklage's face.

When the credits rolled, the kid next to me goes "damn that was some DC **** Marvel pulled!" Lmfao.

Lots of clapping, whooping, and laughing.

Biggest clapping and "Hell yeahs!!" when Cap first showed up. Second biggest when Thor showed up in Wakanda.

When movie ended.....at first complete silence, then murmurs of WTF and so on. Hate to say it....but the general mood at the end was not good.

Poland, full house. No cheering or anything like that but it never happens here but HUGE laughs during Thor/Guardians scenes. Every joke in the movie landed

The hell is wrong with MA man?

There were no reactions at all aside from laughter in mine. One or two gasps when Hulk was throttled. Someone said "Thor" when the bifrost beam arrived in Wakanda.

And right at the end credits after Thanos smiled, people were like..what?

I'm going tonight again with my GF. Ive noticed the more casual fans in my area are more fun and animated than tge die hards

Actually there were a few claps now that i think of it

Stunned silence. Last time I have seen something like this was after watching Platoon. There were people crying at the end and I ain't just talking kids either. Visually it was stunning, but on an emotional level, they nailed it.

Mine was similar to yours ,though everyone burst out laughing at [BLACKOUT]the Thanos will return credit.[/BLACKOUT]

I gotta say, i've never been in a theater where there was so much cheering, laughing and clapping throughout a film and ended with so much silence and WTF sounds .

Yeah....I've been to a lot of movies in my life....been to a lot of "midnight" showings since the 70's.....this was one of the most animated crowds throughout the movie I have ever been to....then it ended and complete silence. No one laughed or said anything when THANOS will return was on the screen.

Every single person in my theatre stayed for the post credits scene. They knew one was coming and they knew that it meant this movie wasn't the end. It was silent in the theatre at the end mainly because I think everyone was in shock. Which means the movie did its job and sets up A4 nicely.

Not as many cheers during my showing, but the thing that got the biggest reaction was a bunch of "Whaaaattt??? OMG's!!!!" when [BLACKOUT]Red Skull was revealed.[/BLACKOUT] The ending was a mix of "oh s**t's" and gasps.

The most shocking thing I learned reading this thread is that, apparently, many people actually remember who [BLACKOUT]the Red Skrull[/BLACKOUT] is. Wow.

I don't know why that would be shocking.

If you read reddit discussion for this a lot of people thought it was a random guide. I'd be impressed if people in my theater knew who it was but it didn't register. I remember actually turning around and nodding my head to girl behind me in approval during post credits of JL when she shouted 'Deathstroke!". GA doesn't really remember or know stuff like that, hell people who saw all those movies don't know. I wonder how many understood post credits and honest to God had I not read about it before I'd have no idea who was that a reference to
