hey...im just trying to throw some ideas of what mags can do. all you guys going with ss just state the same thing without considering what the opponent can do.

Yes, we do, and we've stated for the umpteenth time now that Mags can't do anything, and the things you've named wouldn't work.

- Mags, to my knowledge, has never been shown to be able to take a blast from Galactus. I'm not about to take Wikipedia's word on it.
- Magneto cannot manipulate the Surfer. He's not actually covered in Silver, it just looks like it.
- Not allow him to move at top speed? How exactly?

I think that the outer shell isn't magnetic per se, but part of the power cosmic. I imagine the SS could just reverse the magnetics involved to kill magneto.

and mags would just reverse back no big deal

Uhm, no, the logics of debating tell us that it is then best to assume Magneto can't. Heck, I can play it a different way. Considering he's a matter transmuter, he has complete control over his own body, his own molecules. That, combined with the fact that the Surfer is a top-notch energy manipulator, it's really doubtful Mags' powers would work on him.

Yet this contradicts exactly comics that come after. Mags' force fields have been broken, broken by people a lot less powerful than the Surfer. Lest we all forget about "Fatal Attractions".
