CW developing Beauty&Beast series

That fight was pretty slick.

I like the look of it, I just hope the writing can match that. Kreuk's line reading about the other detective's son's birthday was little ehhh, but overall I'm still interested.

Yeah, the line reading sounded ridiculously unnatural. I'm more tempted to put the blame on the director than Kreuk. There's no way any director would look at that and say "Yeah, sure, that sounds good." Someone really should've said something to her.

I wasn't even just referring to her acting.

The old guy holding the evidence so far above his head looked ridiculous.

Apparently Mark Isham is scoring the series, which is good news. That dude rocks the **** out of Once Upon a Time.

Kristin Kreuk is gorgeous, but I'd rather mute it and just watch.

People just think she's a bad actress that's pretty much their excuse.

I don't think she's a bad actress at all. I've seen her work other than Smallville and she's pretty good.

I think people hate Lana Lang (which is understandble) more than they hate Kreuk.

Nah, they hate her because she's the typical talentless CW actress,

How are they going to make it work? Did they see the Disney movie? The Beast turns back to a human at the end. I don't see how this would work.

I always thought she was rather bland on Smallville. Sure, she's pretty, but she often seemed as if she were "just there" in terms of personality. Everything seemed as if it were merely "pleasant" or "amiable" with her, and nothing ever really exciting. She's just a pleasant actress but nothing really special or funny or particularly charming. There's just a sense of boredom when she's on screen.

I'll admit she was a little more interesting when she guest-starred in Chuck, and hopefully she would be on Beauty and the Beast.

Beauty and the Beast wasn't invented by Disney. :cwink:

But going by the look of things, the Beast looks to be more like a werewolf curse than a full-time curse.

This isn't based on the classic fairy tale character but on the 80s fantasy series which starred Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman where she just happened to be a beauty and he just happened to be a beast.

With the difference to this new one being that now they're both beauties with one of them having a little scar on the cheek

Is that seriously his beastly deformity... a scar on his cheek?

I'll give the pilot a go but this isn't looking great.

He turns into a beast. It's not simply a scar on his cheek.

so he's like a werewolf who can transform from human to beast?

and not like a full-time beast?
