I like how the people of Mystic Falls really don't question the fact that the mother of this family looks barely any older than some of her children. Seriously, Esther and Elijah could be the same age for all they know.

I guess they could have compelled people to not ask any questions before getting into the party

I loved seeing the originals together like that, but the actor who plays Kol could really stand to work on his accent. I swear half the time he sounded Australian.

Also anyone else get the feeling that Esther is going to end up as this year's big bad?

Yes I agree. For some reason I feel like she wants kill all vampires not just the originals....

I believe so as well, perhaps in killing the originals every other vampire will die too? Or at least lose their powers and immortality.
And I'm having a hard time focusing on what is being said whenever Esther is on screen cuz I keep looking at her face. Her mouth is so far down it makes her look like a duck or something.

Agreed about Esther. I think she said it links all her family as one, thus she can kill them easier, but I'm pretty sure everyone was drinking the Elena-blood spiked wine. Wondering if it'll actually link all vampires together, meaning no-one dares kill anyone, just in case!

No, it has never been established that just because one vamp's maker is killed, that all its offspring would be affected by it as well. I think very few vamp mythologies have ever taken that as well.

Drinking the wine was only a part of it. What sealed the spell was when Esther used Finn's blood to link all their names on that sheet of paper. So only the originals are bound together in that spell.

That doesn't mean that it can't be used here, I mean in how many vamp mythologies were they created by witches because of the werewolves?
I'm not saying it's a good idea, just throwing around ideas.

I wonder if the day will ever come that Damon and Stefan realize that saving Elena isn't always worth the countless lives that will inevitably be lost as a result of their actions. Granted, I don't think Esther is entirely honorable, but at the very least, the world would be a better place without the Original kids running around, wreaking havok where ever they go.

Well holy hell, I honestly cant see how they cant have Bonnie get her Willow on and get some revenge on Damon/Stefan or stick around Mystic Falls after her mother and her grandmother die because of those two and Elena. They should atleast let her take away their freedom to walk in the sun. And why didnt the witches protect Bonnie and her mother?

There's nothing "going on" with it. It's a rarity for any show these days to air every episode of a season back to back.

Matt Davis, co-star of the hit CW/WBTV series The Vampire Diaries, is set to star opposite Jessica Lucas in the pilot, which WBTV co-produces with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage&#8217;s Fake Empire. Written by Rockne O&#8217;Bannon, Cult centers on Skye (Lucas), an inquisitive young production assistant on a wildly popular television show called Cult. After a rash of disappearances and a likely murder, she joins Jeff (Davis), a journalist blogger whose brother was among those gone missing, in investigating the rabid fans of the series who might be re-creating crimes seen on the program in real life. In addition to starring in Cult, Davis will be available to make guest appearances in future seasons of Vampire Diaries, where he plays high school history teacher/vampire hunter Alaric Saltzman. He is with Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment.

On one hand, that pilot actually does sound interesting, so it'd be cool to see one of the actors from TVD involved, but on the other hand, [blackout]NOT ****ING ALARIC![/blackout]

I've seen reports, and there's a small mention in that article, that says he can do both shows, so I'm not that concerned.

Eh.... if it was any other show, I'd probably agree. But this is TVD. Nobody leaves Mystic Falls, unless they're in a body bag.

Though, according to one of the earlier reports on Cult, after The CW picked it up to pilot, if it does get picked up for series, they may end up doing 13 episode seasons, like a cable series. So, assuming they stick to that, with a shorter shooting schedule, I guess the castmember in question could concievably stick around.

Still worried though...

So I finally finished watching 2 seasons in 3-4 days on Netflix. Not a bad show. I'll wait for season 3 to come on Netflix to watch that one. I'll definitely be missing Jenna.
