CW: The Final Battle

These are al the heroes present at the battle in CW 6-7, there may be more heroes but I am only listing the characters that I have actually seen. Cap looks to have the numbers, but Tony looks to have the power advantage, but like I said there may be more characters present than shown in issue 6, Clor is not present in the battle (so far).

Cap's team may have some problems with Sentry. I think Invisible Woman could stop him, but not without killing him, and i don't think she'll do that.

Vision beat Hyperion pretty easily, so maybe he could handle Sentry...

Cloak, of course, could transport Sentry to the Dark Dimension...

What about Wiccan? I don't read Young Avengers. Is he an actual mage? Perhaps he could come up with a spell to put Sentry out?

Spider-Man beat the living crap out of Iron Man 2020, who had a much more technologically advanced suit then his ancestor does, so anything is possible.

Peter may yet find a way to counter Tony's new-found "spider-sense".

If anyone should know how to counter Tony's new found "spider-sense" it would be Peter, being as he's had a spider-sense for a long time. If Tony starts to trust it too much, there's his downfall right there.

I don't want it to happen, but I'm slightly leaning towards Cap dying.

If Cap dies then Tony can feel remorse and call for it to stop, and broker a sort of truce in honor of Cap. That way he comes out a sort of hero still in time for the movie. Tony is becoming too powerful, while a lot of characters are getting upgrades and Sentry is around, I can't see them keeping up with IM getting stronger and stronger. He might end up taking a break as head of Shield like others have said, and be out of sorrow for Cap's death, with someone else donning the IM suit.

I can't see them killing Stark, and we know IM is in Mighty. Problem is they've written themselves into a corner kind of as he's got a Spider sense, the power to control machines with thought and whatever else Extremis gives him, plus all of his old powers upgraded as they always are with the next gen suit.

Also it'd make sense about the grave pic, Spidey in black, and various crying pics we've seen. If it was MJ who died he'd prob give up heroics altogether for a bit. If Cap dies then I can see the morning period with the black costume. It just makes me wonder 'IF' it does happen (which I very much hope it doesn't) if U.S. Agent will take over the mantle again.

if cap dies i will be extremely disapointed....surely killing off the greatest hero in marvel isnt clever (although dc did do it with superman)

if cap dies at tonys hands then i would be washing my hands with iron man for good...

although considering there is supposed to be captain america's secret avengers coming forth...it could be cap pretends to die to go underground...which his apparant death would send shockwaves through the MU....even though he would be alive and well doing a nick fury and disappearing for a while ....

Aren't there solicts for captain america post civil war? My prediction is that tony is the one who takes the fall. I don't think he'll die, but be seriuously injured, i mean out of all the heroes in this battle, if tony's armor fails he's deadmeat. That will pave the way for him to take the shield gig and a new man in the armor.

Tony will somehow reject the extremis, and we will find it's been influencing him in his decisions. In rejecting it, he will become crippled in some way, until a new writer comes along and fixes him again.

I seriously doubt Cap is dying. Who's gonna be his replacement? Bucky? So does that mean Bucky is the leader of the already confirmed Avengers roster consisting of Spider-man, Wolverine and Captain America?

I'd say Hercules taking down Clor, but I'm pretty sure Millar said in a review after #3 Clor wont be showing up for the rest of the series. I'm betting Spidey will get at least a punch in on Stark, but nothing spectacular. I doubt the Spider sense thing shown in IM#14 will be mentioned. Case and point, the Iron Spider suit shut down wasnt shown in CW5.

Besides, if they did do this, and I do think Cap is one of the few big guns that actually is expendable, who is gonna take the spot. Bucky is still sorting out just what the hell has been going one with his life since WWII. Patriot? No way. I just dont see it happening.
