Daniel Craig confirmed as new James Bond

I find it funny that people on here want perfect adaptations of the Batman material, and yet some couldn't care less what the Bond books are really like.

Craig is perfect. PERFECT.:up::eek::bomb::marv:

This is the guy Flemming said he thought was most like the way he envisioned Bond

He is.....kinda ugly. Craig has a sex appeal that hasn't been in Bond since Connery imo.

I don't think Craig has much sex appeal. He looks like a boxer....but he's not VERY ugly either.

Craig will suck as Bond. I guess they gave up on the "Restart" concept, huh?

GREAT picture, in my opinion.

And what's this about him not dying his hair? It certainly looks dark(er) in the picture.

Yeah a boxer is a good way to describe his face,he's got a corse look about him

Go read up on actual Fleming Bond from the books. Everything after Connery, except maybe OHMSS, Dalton's films and Goldeneye, was Bond's version of Batman and Robin.

LMAO @ the ppl who say Craig WILL suck. Such is the nature of teh internet.

Craig isn't classically handsome, but every female i've asked has said he has massive sex appeal. He isn't pretty like Brosnan, but he sure is more interesting. Craig is set to be a big movie star.

Also, many of you don't know this, but there were about 8 actors in the final running for the role. Mostly unkown(although Owen was offered the role but turned it down), BUT, in the end it came down to two actors;

Craig and Henry Cavill. Yes, you read that right....Henry Cavill, a 23 yr old American.

More are talking about how he looks,and also where is it written that to be a ruthless spy you have to be poor looking ?

Every woman ive shown him to thinks he just looks like an average geezer from the pub

Lol. Well it was either him or henry cavill. Take your pick.

At least Cavill would have been able to pass as a young Bond. Probably too young, but that just shows that the producers weren't looking at the right people. Craig looks too much like a thug.

Neither:p ....I think both miss an ingredient to make a great Bond but it's done now so whatever will be will be:o

his hair is not dyed.it is the lighting.someone asked him about it and craig himself said it was the lighting.he said he wil stay as he is.

Wasn't Bond supposed to have been recruited by MI6 when he was in his mid 30's?

He's around 33-35 in Casino Royale, so they recruited him when he was around 30-32.

I always throught Christian Bale would've made the ideal Bond. In fact, am I making this up, or do I remember him trying to decide between Bond and Batman before being cast by Nolan? Anyway, I'm much, much, MUCH happier he decided to do Batman.

Craig will be great. I appreciate that they cast an actor, first and foremost, instead of someone who just looks the "traditional" Bond part. Should be cool. :up:

I hope you guys aren't expecting a straight adaptation of the Casino Royal book, The pacing and lack of too much action will almost definately be changed. I'm just hoping that unlike the books Bond doesnt get a cattleprod in his nads! I hope this is the Batman Begins of Bond, but 2 fantastic films in 2 years seems to be too much for hollywood these days

I chose Batman at first, but in retrospect he really should be Bond. He's too good an actor to be tied down to either franchise though. He'd be awesome. Just think about Bale as 007 for a second. It's a crime we won't get to see that now.

Yeah Christian Bale would been great Bond but I'm happy that he chose Batman.

I wish Daniel Craig good luck he's going to need it.
