Man, the Zimmer's theme is much more universal than Elfman's. Seems like "the only true Batman theme" cannot survive transition into 21st century while "the other theme" works quite well in that old Batman movie. The end of Zimmer's theme with Butron's Batman on a ledge and the batsymbol on the skies give me so much chills!

But the Elfman's music in that example is too epic that scene. here's a better example, works quite better...

They should just play a different theme at various points in the movie. Why have a singular theme when you can have 3?! I mean... Batman did have 3 different suits in BvS. People gotta keep up...

Yes, it's too epic, use Batman's theme from Men are still good, there are quiet passages too.

Listen to those bases, it's Elfman's theme! t: And the two note Zimmer's motif is played by horns atop of that.

So it can worked, but you have to tweak it to fit the universe. So far it seems Danny just writes more or less in his usual style. The orchestration, the mickey-mousing, very old-school.

If only I knew how to mix the sound. Also, I despise **** like this. Rescoring, rearranging... takes away all the joy and freshness while watching the film because this crap always plays in my mind. Ugh!

I'm not crazy about re-using the 89 theme for this. As much as I like it, it's too tied to that era for me. I'd say the same about using an iteration of Molossus/No Stone Unturned; too attached to Nolan for my tastes to be used elsewhere. To be completely honest, its a little worrisome for me.

I like how scary the JUNKIE theme sounds, but I think the 89 theme is spookier and more definitive. Honestly, the soundtrack is the one thing that I'm really looking forward to.
