Justice League Danny Elfman Scoring Justice League - Part 2

Seemed to be a common issue, barely hearing the score. Did you see it in IMAX?

I barely heard the score too. Ehent he Batman 89 parts came on, you had to listen closely to hear it.

Seriously guys, I wanna put together a Junkie cut of this film when its out on video.

Its good that the mix was low. Atleast the generic and sometimes laughably bad music didnt overpower the scenes.

I'm watching BvS UE now, man I tell you it is like night and day. The music is so immersive in this film, from emotional in the beginning prologue to pulse pounding during the Metropolis attack. This is what music is supposed to, people. Its supposed to quicken your pulse during exciting moments and hit you in the feels during the emotional ones. What Elfman did was just plain lazy.

I liked what I heard. Maybe Elfman wasn't the perfect fit for the movie, but he did a decent job.

Zimmer needed a serious break from these kinds of movie, but perhaps he should have stuck around for just one more.

Holy crap, why Joss, why?

Yeah...taking it with a huge grain of salt. Dude doesn't even provide a source where he found it in the description.

Plus the mixing and drums are incredibly weak imo.

Sounds fake to me. AND like generic trailer music.

So Elfman just said this :

So I must have imagined that moment in BvS where WW had her entrance with her music, and the whole theatre lost its mind. Or the moment where WW fights in the warehouse? Those were the two most epic moments in those films, and no they were not campy. What's campy and laughable is your lame excuse of a cover of the WW theme. Amateur YTbers did it better than you.

No wonder, dude has lost it. Stuck in the past, while other composers experiment and move into the future. The person who decided to bring in Elfman, be it Joss or Geoff Johns or WB or Snyder or whoever. HAS ROYALLY ****ED UP. What a complete disappointment of a score after MOS, BvS and WW. The only part of the soundtrack that was memorable and I'm still humming is the Singrid cover and ooh guess what? It was Snyder's choice and already there. *Pretends to be shocked*

Am I the only one that thinks Wonder Womans score also wasn't that amazing? And her theme felt out of place there as well. At most I find on par with Justice Leagues soundtrack.

Honestly the score in JL fit in better than I hopped, granted this isn't much of a Zack film anymore

It's an electric cello, Elfman. Not a guitar. But go ahead, recycle that Hulk theme.

The hell... ? Tina Guo's cello is campy and funny, but his version isn't ? Then he speaks of ego. *smh*

You have "ego" if you try something new and close to your heart, but you dont have "Ego" if you recycle your own material and other people's material from the past.

Got it :whatever:

That's because it is and not even well done at that.

Junkie's drums are much more pronounced than this.

The more I think about the score the more upset I get at Elfman for sleepwalking through this. He couldnt EVEN be botheres to go FULL BATMAN 89 during the parts where he used his own damn theme. I really hope some creative fan replaces the music in this.

I was hoping something really JW for Superman's return, but maybe he wasn't allowed to go that far?

For me the score was very much forgettable. While I did like the hints of the old themes I just wished they used more of the modern themes as well. That's what I was really looking forward too and them not using them more just wasn't right.

So we're all agreed, right? Keep Danny Elfman away from comic book movies from now on. Stick to quirky Tim Burton films if your not gonna put any effort into it. SMDH

The gall and arrogance of this mother*****. Man **** YOU ELFMAN. You weren't willing to use Zimmer's themes, you weren't willing to use the Williams theme all the way. What you ended up doing was a ****y excuse of a score.

Elfman was a full on misfire on the soundtrack... up until this point only the story has failed the DC films...the score and visuals have been great...JL not only loses the visual harmony but the great soundtrack as well...

The Flash theme was awesome though, was it his stuff or something borrowed?

Elfman, being the unoriginal composer he now is, pretty much ripped it straight from his 2003 Hulk score.
