It's already been confirmed that everything Whedon is doing will be within Zack's existing tone and framework. I am quite positive that WB and Whedon are going to be honoring the film Zack has been making.

I don't know about everything. Sure he has footage shot that he has to use. But on the other hand I think he has creative control. If he does the editing of the film I think he has a say whether the music or the composer is working for him or not.

I disagree entirely with Junkie being a good composer. I was watching Mad Max earlier and was struck by how lazy and unmemorable the score seemed.

Did you like "Arcade"/Kryptonian theme from Man of Steel? Because he created it.

Sorry dude, I tend not to be absolute. Like in any other art form if an artist steps in to finish a preconceived piece he brings his own decision making in the process. Of course he will talk with Snyder but since Snyder left the project (And he did the right thing, his family is more important than a film) the decision making passes to the next person. I am not saying he will redo the movie but apparently he will have major input from now on. It will be a joined effort.

What you are saying directly contradicts what has been confirmed by the actual execs currently overseeing the film. I'm not sure why you're overthinking this one.

Holkenborg is nowhere near as ambitious and talented as Zimmer is. I have yet to hear something like The Da Vinci Code or The Thin Red Line come from his pen.

If Holkenborg was replaced with Silvestri, Silvestri would likely throw in some stylistic references to XL's work, perhaps reference some of Zimmer and XL's thematic material. His action material would be so kickass though.

Dude u need to hear his Mad Max soundtrack. That thing is just pure epic insanity and i mean that in the best way. If JL sounds like Mad Max I will be very happy.

It's still a distant possibility. I've pointed out several instances while a composer was replaced during post-production.

This is great news. The score for BvS was very jarring for me. It was one of the few superhero films where the score was noticeably bad. Just my opinion. The Lex theme was awful.

Elfman back on Batman is great news any way you cut it. I hope he doesn't hold back and let's loose on Batman again. Elfman's Batman theme is still definitive

I'm not going to lie, this is extremely disappointing. One thing that separates DC from Marvel is their musical continuity and I worry they are going to throw that out the window to cater to Marvel-style filmmaking.

And I was just really excited to hear what Junkie would do. Elfman is talented and did good work on Age of Ultron incorporating the original Avengers theme in a new way.

I will be really disappointed if the themes from the first 4 films do not feature (I've heard somewhere that Joss told Silvestri not to use individual character themes in Avengers, WTH?).

I'm right there with you. This news seriously bums me out. Junkie's sound was so perfect for this Justice League. He's not as good as Zimmer but Junkie has that epic, adenaline fueled sound that is a perfect for a movie like this. I was looking forward to his score almost as much as I was looking forward to the movie itself.

Elfman. Look, his Batman theme is legendary. One of the greatest movie themes ever made but what has he done notable recently? Is he likely to capture that same lightning in a bottle that he did in 1989?
