Hopefully that means we get a teaser soon. They had some stuff to show at NYCC so they could probably manage to put together something for the rest of us if they wanted to.

I wish they would've put something together for the guardians blu ray. Maybe that's too early to release something though.

I really don't want to wait 3 months before seeing anything. This is a big deal and hopefully Marvel treats it like a big deal.

Also, even though we've heard May as the rough release date for Daredevil, Steven DeKnight has always went out of his way to say it gets released some time in 2015. I'm hoping that May was just a rough estimate and that they're ahead of schedule. April would be nice.

I'm hoping we get some sort of trailer before the end of the year.

As for the release I don't think it'll get done earlier than Mat (at least I won't get my hopes up), and they're also probably conscious of the fact that AoU will be dominating late-April to mid/late May, so they might want to give that some space.

It'll be interesting to see if this goes by the Marvel marketing schedule - first trailer about 6 months before release, another trailer about 3 months before release, marketing onslaught in the last month or so - or if it will go by the Netflix schedule for their original programmes, which seems to be keeping things quiet until about 1-2 months before release, then releasing a trailer, then going heavy on the marketing in the last few weeks leading up to release.

My understanding is Netflix would be in charge of any promotion decisions. But I do hope they lean towards early rather than later for a trailer.

This is an unprecedented deal. This is the flagship show in Marvel's endeavour into tv, so I'm guessing they're going to treat it a little different than the standard Netflix series. They are going to need to start hyping this show up big time, because outside of sites like SHH and CBM, most people are unaware of the deal, or unaware of the scope of the whole thing.

You wouldn't believe how many times I've seen "Is this for a new movie?" or "is this going to be separate from the MCU?". They should really start marketing this thing earlier.

I wouldn't really call this Marvel's endeavor into TV, for two reasons. One, they're already on TV. Second, Netflix isn't on TV.

I think Agents of Shield was a misstep for their first foray into television. Not saying its terrible, but it clearly had issues that first season.

They are banking on Daredevil and the rest of Netflix shows more than AoS or Agent Carter I'm sure.

Probably not quite either. It's more like Defenders Phase One. I would imagine Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage will have more in common with each other than separately, but it crosses through Phases (Daredevil is Phase Two because it's pre-Ant-Man but the rest are probably Phase Three).

I asked Ryan Penagos on twitter if he knows when we'll get a Daredevil teaser and he replied "I think so. Nothing to share yet."

So he knows when its getting released, but he can't tell us the date yet. I hope that means its within a few weeks.

Okay I was doing a little snooping and I noticed that Steven DeKnight is following Milo Ventimiglia on twitter... the same actor who was campaigning for the role of Punisher, the character that Steven DeKnight said is his favourite Marvel character... and Milo recently responded to Frank Grillo's tweet that said "Forget being a rock star - be in a Marvel movie" and Milo's response was "sounds like a plan".

I know I'm reaching, but DeKnight is following him!
