The tone seems perfect for Punisher to make an appearance.

All I can say is this show looks like its going to be awesome. Perfect for the comic book fans that love The Punisher and Batman and film geeks that are into vigilante movies like Death Wish etc. Its also got the martial arts/ninja aspect with Stick. I love it all, so Im really excited.

I want the punisher to show up in this so bad.

This will be the superhero origin story done the best way possible, nice and fleshed out, can't freaking wait, I hope Iron fist gets similar treatment, and everything I hear about Jessica Jones with Casting etc has me hyped, like the casting of Luke Cage as well, Netflix going to change the game again with these shows.

Cool netflix doc I found talking to all the Daredevil artists.

Love hearing Frank talk about this character as well as the rest, Daredevil is a character you can tell really resonates with those who get him.

I wouldnt mind if they hold off with him until the second season, assuming there is one, make this all about setting up Daredevil first and foremost.

But hey if they decide to being him in early you wont find me complaining:woot:

How do Spidey's TV rights work? Since this is TV and not a movie, would Spidey be allowed to show up in this? The Ultimate Spider-Man show uses Avengers characters?

Animated and live action I think have seperate rights.

This looks SO good. Like everything I hoped it would be and more. And before, I was thinking that the Punisher was too dark a character for the MCU brand to get his own show from them, but now? Yeah, bring on the Punisher.

Based on this, I'm starting to get the impression that Netflix will be like the dark corner of the MCU, in the best way. This is where they can leave their Disney association at the door.

Dios mio, why is it not April yet? Totally going to binge watch that Friday.

What possessed Marvel to cast Frank Grillo as Crossbones instead of the Punisher? Anyone could've been cast as Crossbones.

Can't wait for April now. I will try not to watch them all within a day haha.

I started reading Daredevil right from the beginning last year and I've enjoyed reading them. I haven't made it to the darker more gritty frank miller DD just yet so I'm probably still going to be out of the loop with a lot of things in this show.

The guy in the pic is Milo Ventimiglia from Heroes, Gilmore Girls and Rocky Balboa. And he'd be a terrible Punisher, imo.

Yeah, not keen on him as Frank Castle. Grillo was a missed opportunity. Who is else like him?

The trailer looks really good and intense! It's almost crazy to think that this character exists in the same universe as a talking space raccoon and tree :oldrazz: I like that they are using Daredevil + the other Netflix shows to explore the darker side of the MCU.

Though I hope we get to see the final costume sooner than the end of the last ep...

I agree. I don't care how much I like him in other stuff or how much he is openly campaigning for the role or how he and DeKnight are buddies.

The dude's 5'9. I'm 5'9. It's not very intimidating.

Ray Stevenson was kinda perfect. His movie though (much like the bonkers GHOST RIDER:SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE) is fun in an over-the-top sense and deserving of the Marvel Knights title card. Though these two movies could not and should not exist in the MCU. Plus, Stevenson is already in Asgard hopefully begging to be shown more in RAGNAROK. So, he's out.

But get a big imposing dude like him for Castle. For some reason, I can see Jon Hamm working. He's 6'2 and looks the part and is a great actor. But if his decline of Strange is to be believed, he doesn't want to be locked into a long term deal. Plus, I think he's angling to explore movies more once "Mad Men" ends. And Punisher will no doubt be exclusive to Netflix.

The Punisher casting is a tough nut to crack. How about Joe Manganiello? There, that's my pick. Sorry Milo.

Don't want Manganiello as Punisher. Save him for Hercules if he ever shows up in the MCU.

I hope this show isn't so based in reality though that there isn't room for the likes of Gladiator or any of the other Marvel villains who aren't just thugs, gangsters or ninja types.
