I looked at the show's Netflix page and was surprised on the TV-MA rating, that's neat. I think the Owl was in one shot with his back turned, with the other guys standing around on that rooftop/construction site. And the black thug that shows up in a few parts, any chance it could be Turk? Looks like he's got the 'stache.

You mean Turk is a comic book character? I only knew he was in the Hulk/DD crossover TV movie in the 1980's but I figured he was just some guy made up by the TV show given that show's penchant for jettisoning all the Hulk's supporting characters.

Yeah, he shows up all the time in Miller's run. He'd always be around and DD would kick his arse, it'd usually be pretty funny.

I cannot wait for this.Man without far was my favorite growing up.This looks to take a lot from that.Yes!

Daamn, I found the trailer to be really, really great. It seems that the show captures the dark, brutal and tragic side of Matt Murdock and I love it. Cox seems to be the perfect Daredevil, and, damn, he got ripped :wow:

Yeah it looks very good .

I think D'Onofrio is going to be a very creepy Kingpin. His voice doesn't match his stature IMo, its kind of unsettling. And with Tennant playing Purple Man, the MCU just got a lot creepier.

Speaking of the Wire...

wonder if they have this guy in mind for Frank Castle?

Luke Evans would be perfect for Frank Castle.

I think he's a very underrated actor. I was really impressed by him in no one lives, and he was also great in Dracula untold.

He was Jigsaw in the last Punisher movie so I think it is unlikely he will be recast as the Punisher.

Liev Schreiber, Jon Bernthal, Richard Armitage and Sullivan Stapleton all seem like good Punisher choices

I'll be honest, I was worried Marvel might fumble this after the cheesy Agents of Shield series.

But nope, it looks like they aimed for the fences with their Netflix shows.

The cast, the tone...everything looks perfect.

It's going to be a long wait till April.

Thankfully the netflix shows are handled by a different branch of the company than the ABC shows, different producers, more closely related to the film side.

You know. I'm really sad that people's greatest experience with Daredevil is the Hulk crossover...

It's run by Jeff Loeb and Marvel Television. Where are you getting the idea that the producers are more closely related to the film side? It seems the show runner is a very talented person, but this isn't Marvel's film division running this.

What? This show, AoS, and Agent Carter are all under Jeph Loeb and Marvel Television. Frankly, the idea that the ABC show are somehow inferior products is silly. Their tone is different from what this is going to be, but they are different characters with a tone befitting of those characters. AoS and Agent Carter are both really good and Daredevil looks like it will be excellent, Marvel TV is putting out a good product.

if the show delivers, and it seems it will, it could really change people's view of DD.

Jon Hamm

Luke Evans is one of the best actors right now ....being in bad movies, he deserves a lot better, needs to make better choices man, something like Punisher would be epic for him. I actually kind of wanted him for Dr Strange.

I think Luke Evans would be better suited for playing a regal presence like Namor. He doesn't seem quite suited to Punisher.

I think he can play both. I agree about him needing to be in better movies, even though I liked noone lives and thought Dracula Untold was entertaining (and could have been quite better). Come on Marvel, do the right thing and hire the guy!

When I looked at Daredevil on Netflix it had G rating on there, where was MA seen?

Although obviously I doubt it will be G that would be a bit ridiculous. And if it is MA does that mean literally anything can occur on the show, so no excuse for a toned down Punisher if he ever shows up?

As much as I'd love a Punisher series....I'd also really love a Ghost Rider series! Maybe less epidsodes so the effects can be better.

Sure he can play both, but when you look at it him he looks more of a better fit for a classic Namor. There have been a few castings by Marvel where an actor is cast as one character and they just scream another character, and it seems like a missed opportunity. I'd put Frank Grillo and Henry Simmons into that category.
