I'm worried that the show will get too busy if they try to shove Elektra and Bullseye in as well.

There is:
Fisk in prison with Vanessa out there
The Hand + whatever Stick was doing
Steel Serpent (although that will probably be ignored and re-routed to Iron Fist)
Punisher

Maybe they can tie in Bullseye as a hired gun by Vanessa to kill Daredevil etc. But Elektra would be too much, imo.

well... Elektra fits VERY well into The Hand storylines... so i don't really see that being an issue

me too.. which is why i don't want him to tie into punisher... Frank always gets his man... and i don't really want him killing bullseye

I know it was highly unlikely/improbable, but I was still kinda holding onto the dream for Thomas Jane to be recast as The Punisher. I love him as the character, and it would have been awesome if he had been cast in the MCU.

That said, casting Jon Bernthal as The Punisher is fantastic. I highly approve, and I'm glad to see that Marvel is willing to give the character another try (since his 3 films were not successes, even though I really like the 2004 film).

With most of the villains from the first season gone, I'm sure it won't be that busy. Gao, Owlsly, Ben Urich, Leeland, the Russians are all gone in some form. That's a lot of space getting cleared out giving room for bigger characters and stories to be told. Personally, Id prefer it if Bullseye was held off till season 3. I think it'd be crucial Elektra to show up in the second season, especially if they want to have any impact on her future death. I also think Punisher might only get a small handful of episodes and not the entire season. That's what I'm hoping at least.

As for Stick's story, I'm sure it's tied to Elektra if she makes an appearance this season.

Yep.

Gao is obviously Crane Mother and she won't show up again until Iron Fist. Leland Owlsey's son probably shouldn't show up until later. preferably not until Season 4. The Russians are dead. That gives us some room for new villains.

My hope is that we'll see Bullseye, Elektra, Eric Slaughter and Kirigi in Season 2 along with Melvin becoming Gladiator. IMO, I want to see Frank vs. Elektra with Matt having to save her from Frank despite knowing that she's gone bad and probably deserves to die. I also want to see Matt save Bullseye and then have Bullseye kill Elektra in the penultimate episode before the finale adapts Daredevil 191 with Bullseye in the hospital.

Yeah, there was (I guess technically not in name, but I think there's no mistaking who the character was supposed to be). Don't get me wrong, I expect her to be in this season. But it wasn't anything close to announced.

I have hope that Jennifer Gardner will return as Elektra because no one will ever be as good as her. Also wherever Bullseye goes, Elektra follows; therefore Elektra will appear in season 2.

Eh, respectfully disagree. I'm sure there are plenty of actresses that can play the part and play it very well (and to be honest, I wasn't really a fan of JG's Elektra as it was).

Besides, this is the MCU version - a reboot. Casting someone who appeared as the characters in the film(s) could confuse the general audience as to whether those films are now considered part of the MCU or not. Keep it fresh and new, IMO. Let another actress have the chance to play the character/put their own spin on it.
