Would you guys be interested in seeing Hammerhead introduced in the show?

me too.. which is why i don't want him to tie into punisher... Frank always gets his man... and i don't really want him killing bullseye

Maybe Matt saves Bullseye from the Punisher. Then you have an analogue to the comic story where DD pulls Bullseye from the train tracks, sparing his life, and Matt feels responsible for every life Bullseye takes after that.

Now that would be excellent arc

I'd like that, although I love the actual visual image of Matt pulling him from the tracks. Then again, maybe that was because of the beauty of Frank Miller's art.

Well here's a good question, should the show focus on DD's rogues gallery or should they try to fit in Spidey villains that likely won't appear in the movies?

You could say Kingpin started as a Spidey rogue, but most of his best stories are in Daredevil and besides Kingpin, I'm not sure how many Spidey villains made a big splash in the DD comics (maybe Mysterio). So while Spidey does have a lot of villains that could fit in with this show, DD has his own rogues gallery as well. So how do you balance that?

They should focus on Daredevil's Rogue's Gallery. It helped that Kingpin was written by Frank Miller. But he's also a villain that works well for Daredevil. Remember the iconic story where Daredevil battled Doc Ock who wanted to steal some adamantium - oh wait, it wasn't an iconic story. It was just an OK story, but Octavius never really fit. Likewise, Guardian Devil has mixed reactions. Daredevil, on the other hand, had been using crime lords since the beginning. It's clear that the Owl was intended that way (although not very effectively). Plus, Miller turned the Kingpin from a more sci-fi James Bond villain to the ruthless mob boss we think of him today.

All that being said, I think there's room in the Spider-Man universe for smaller crooks. They aren't going to be the main attraction, but I could see Hammerhead, Tombstone, or Silvermane in a B plot/opening action type role. Same for someone like Shocker.

The Punisher is a great addition to the show and honestly, the character will finally be properly adapted. There were moments in previous Punisher films where things were working, but for the most part they are mediocre and we've never seen what they can really do with a Punisher adaption.
And you have to give Disney props. I remember thinking back in 2009 when the Disney/Marvel deal was rumored that Marvel Studios would never touch characters like the Punisher, but here they are doing it and it's most likely going to be amazing.

I actually hate Hammerhead lol. Wouldn't mind Silvermane though. Or Ma Gnucci. :D

Hammerhead wouldn't translate well to the big screen. He was never really an interesting character to begin with though.
But yes, Silvermane would be awesome. I love the story where he threatens Robbie Robertson because they were friends decades before. I think it was in the Spectacular Spider-man, around issues 160.
EDIT: nevermind, confused him with Tombstone.
I wonder if, had the Spider-man deal happened earlier, Urich would have been working with the Daily Bugle?

While it's possible, there's a lot of reason why it would have been an awkward fit.

I don't think anyone would believe that Jameson was working for the Kingpin and causing Urich's death, so that moment would fall flat. And, besides, who would be the one in the office who did it? I assume no one would want them to replace that female character with Robbie Roberts.

My guess is that, if they had the Daily Bugle, they probably would have considered using it, but I doubt it was a priority and I'm sure they have no regrets.

These are all really good points.

Kevin Feige on whether the Netflix shows will crossover with the movies:

Kevin Feige said:
As those [shows] come out, as those get into the culture I think they’re, just like what happens in the movies, tools in the toolbox for some of those shows. And what happens on those shows could be tools in the tool box of the movies. I think that’ll happen at some point.

It seems like he's describing more what's already happened on Agents of Shield where elements from the movies impacted the show more than vice versa.

The movies are always going to come first and not really be subject to events on the shows.

Marvel should really use the Star Trek model that they had during the Next Generation movies. There were characters from the TV series who would occasionally show up in the films in cameos, and they were really cool to see. We got the EMH and also Janeway, as well as characters from TNG like Barclay in First Contact.

I want more of a crossover like that in the MCU than just one way traffic as it is at the moment.

It'd be cool to see some kind "save Sokovia" type charity movement in the background next season, Seeing as how a major city is now literally missing from it's geography.

This is an interesting casting rumor:

Daredevil's still going to be needing Claire's assistance a lot I can imagine...

That's so stupid. Not the "he appeared with Charlie Cox before so he might appear in this" (he could appear in everything from Daredevil to Luke Cage to Doctor Strange), but the "our revealing something caused it to fail, our bad, let's do it again."

I agree, there's a lot of stuff from that period with Bullseye I'd like to see visually adapted directly. I just tried to fit Punisher into the concept, and kind of assume they'll skip any visual cues that were used in 2003 flick, even though they've successfully distanced themselves.

I think they've distanced themselves from the quality of that film, but I'd argue there's quite a lot of influences from there in this series as well (although I maintain that it was execution, not lack of faith in the concept, that doomed that production).

Was that whole "I'm not the bad guy" thing from comics? If not they lifted that straight from the movie.

Man I'm really eager for some new set pictures. I want to see what the costume will look like moving forward. I sort of have a feeling that many elements will be changed.

I can't believe they're going to be filming again soon. Guess it just goes to show how busy I've been the past few months. Maybe if I stay busy the wait for season 2 will be easy. Maybe.
