Daredevil Daredevil General Discussion Thread - Part 8

I'd recommend Frank Miller's run first and foremost.

Mr. Fear is going to be harder to find, but if they have the Daredevil Epic Collection Widow's Kiss or the Ed Brubaker Ultimate Collection Vol. 2 or Daredevil Hell to Pay.
 
Miller, Bendis, and Brubaker are essentials.

Ed might be my favorite.
 
I would also throw in Ann Nocenti's underrated run. Hopefully we'll see Typhoid Mary show up in the show.
 
Mark Waid's recent run uses some of the lesser known (along with the more well-known) villains in interesting ways as well.

There are quite a few runs I'd recommend (my username should be no surprise). I love Ann Nocenti's stuff a lot. That being said, my favorite stories of hers haven't been collected.

Waid's run is excellent also, I mainly mentioned those 3 guys because of the strong neo-noir element's the show seems to have drawn from them.

btw is the new season suppose to be getting a budget increase?
It's their most popular property, so I hope they give the producers what they need to tell the story.

The post-Defenders shows should all be getting higher budgets since they're being budgeted separately from one another.

On a related note, they've apparently been filming on
the block where Midland Circle exteriors were filmed, giving the impression we'll learn something about how Matt survived, or more likely, that's where Matt will reveal himself to Karen and/or Foggy.
 
I don’t think so but I’m assuming so because his old suit was most likely destroyed.

So it's been like 3.5 months since filming has started. Shouldn't be another month and a half to go.

any major spoilers that you come across?

If they are, that is stupid. There is no reason to wait that long. That is like saving the Joker for Batman 4
 
I hope that means we'll get a teaser for season 3.
