The Dark Knight Dark Knight Site Updated!

Thats a real nice gesture of WB. I'm glad to see they stopped advertising for a little bit and took time to honor the man that made the movie what it is.

Anita, some of the DVD special features were likely shot on the set during filming. "Behind the scenes" sort of interviews, so it is possible we will see Heath talk some about the character and the other actors, etc.

A very kind and respectful gesture on the part of WB...very classy indeed.

I borrowed it and placed it on my myspace page @ myspace.com/thekidflames << y'all come by and add me! I'm always looking to meet new folks with similar interests.

Everyone should do this (place the tribute image on their site) in unison, in a show of respect (well, everyone that has a myspace/facebook/yada yada page or a blog).

What an excellent tribute. Although WB is a big corporation, it's nice to see their human side in the wake of this tragedy.

I suppose, but I would still be :waa:

Added the RIP

Yea the official site when I clicked on it I had no idea, and I got tears in my eyes. So did my good friend. He just said thats so awesome that he had that much of a great positive impact on the world.

Hey LeChiffre, did you see what's going on with the new Bond movie?

Indeed I did. Amidst all this Ledger news, its glad to have some positives in the Hollywood world. I tried to post in the community forums as to why the Bond boards have disappeared, but it got locked and moved or something... I don't know.

Was that small RIP on the black ribbon photoshopped by one of us or is that actually on there?

WB is going to loose money in the long run from not being able to cash in on Heaths popularity in future films after TDK makes him an icon. They are going to loose money from the fact that had the 3rd Batman film continued the storyline and had a bit of the Joker in it, the hype would have been DOUBLE what it already is because audiences would have seen the great performance.

Look at how much Hollywood loves a trilogy... they make billions of them. It's all about brand -- "Character" loyalty. Whether is Spiderman or Jack Sparrow. After TDK and Brokeback Heath would have been the next "Johny Depp" taking chances despite his handsome looks and getting a huge following of both cult-artsy-film-lovers and fangirls. Trust me, Hollywood would LOVE a new Depp to stick around for 40 more years making them films.

No one is cheering at WB unless they are very dumb. And I doubt they are because they're making a ton of money in this business and they know how it works.

And all of that is outside the fact of basic human decency, the shock of loosing someone to a senseless freak accident, a little girl who will never know her daddy, etc. No one would be happy about that.

I'm glad they changed the page with a black ribbon and the memorial page. It's just going to be sad when those pages come down as they eventually will :csad:

Yah, it is awesome. And only 28. So admired by the world. Good on him. He will be missed and remembered ... a life certainly not wasted.

I'm sorry that I will never have the pleasure of knowing him personally but I admire the sort of individual that leaves school at 16 to pursue his dream and fearlessly tackles Hollywood, a world away from his home town, at 19. I admire the sort of man that would not be made into a "product" would not be "sold" because of his looks by his managers and the studio, and who decided to take risks and make art and challenge himself as an actor. I admire the fact that he said he really 'didn't even know how to act' when he did Knights Tale and by Brokeback showed everyone just how good he could be.

His memory will always be an inspiration to me. And now that it's connected with everything Batman forever in my mind I will never forget him and what his brilliant life stood for.

Thank-you Heath!

I think differently. Like Roven said Nolan does one film at a time with not too much of a sequel in mind. From the RUMORS we heard Joker was suppose to have a very small part that was suppose to help Batman at one point try and find Two-Face.

Whether you like the character or not Two-Face was always aimed to be the main story and villain in BB3. I think as long as it remains a good Bat film, and TDK does well I think BB3 will do well as well.

I know the worry BF trust me I know. But honestly in my gut, I think they will very sensitive like write around the part in BB3, and still have an amazing movie.

Even though I have been so sad and very upset of Heath's death I cared for his work and respected him dearly, he was not the center of the Batman Begins trilogy, thats Bale. There is much more character then Joker in this trilogy. And 3's focus was all ready known to be Two-face.

I'm trying to tell you BF you don't have to worry. Nolan will if he decides to do so create a great third installment.

Worry? Why would I worry about WB and their money, or what the plot of the 3rd film will be. I really don't care at this point.

I was only pointing out that those are the reasons WB isn't exactly heartlessly jumping up and down happy he's gone. They're smart enough to know even if it boosts the ticket sales for TDK it hurts them in the long run, not having such a bankable star for our generation.

I see I misunderstood.

Yea it will be a shame for future projects that Heath could of graced us with. It is truly sad not only for ticket sales but just what could of been. But I try to look at the bright side and say I'm glad he finished with a great role, and one that will be known for years to come. :)

Heath will live on for ever through film.

Salt...

First...I want to say, that this will be a slap in the face when it comes out that HEATH is taking the method acting TOO far by "taking" HEATH out thus making THE JOKER 100% real....That would be some crazy S---T that the viral pull...to have someone fake a passing only to re-emerge as a character..

BUT I digress...

what I've noted up above is far, far, far from fact...At first i didn't believe it. then it seeped in like swelling tear ducts. Even though, I haven't paid much attention to his acting career. And I MOST CERTANTLY will not be doing what BEST BUY is doing! the bastards...It is hard for me to say that a connection laid between Heath and I...but not in the sense that one may think one way or another. I think the best way to put it is...I feel that Heath and I where not on the same page but made in the same book. two buttons on the same shirt. And as a result I too have only gotten 2 hours of sleep everyday this week.
When his light turned off a light turned on in my house. Showing me a door to open. As I am sure he's done for others while the fire still burned bright within him...and no, I will not be dawning a suit and scalling the city walls to avenge the fellow. But I will take him up on the message he's left us all...don't take life so serious but be careful.

It's such a shame that one of the worlds most notorious killers is innocence.
