no contest darkman is b movie unbreakable is a masterpiece
I think its a little too campy to have the serious-ish tone it does.
it tries to be both campy and serious at the same time.
unbreakable came out in 1999 right before Spider-man came out and began the wave of superhero films.
I always felt Unbreakable came out before its time...The film is a cult classic and incredibly way better than a cheesefest Darkman film.
People just dont know movies if they are saying "Darkman hands down wins"
Spider-Man was the movie that REALLY started the wave. X-Men was just the appetizer.
t:X Men may have been a success, but it wasn't because of their success that a Spider-Man film was made but because of Spider-Man's success that all the other films followed
I'd say Blade got the spark going again, X-Men opened the door, and then Spider-Man went in shooting.

Blade came out at a time when vampires were very popular (Buffy) so that helped a lot I believe.
I can't be sitting there watching it with another person who is very impatient by nature.
It's time for Blade to come back.
