I'm not that familiar with Jason Clarke, but I believe this is a good choice judging from response, and 15 years later sounds like a great idea.

Nice to see more movement on this film. I'm liking the direction they're taking with this movie, plot-wise... as well as the first actor cast.

He was great in Zero Dark Thirty so I'm glad to see him cast here.

Great to hear about Jason Clarke. One of the few things I really liked about Zero Dark Thirty.

This is shaping up to be great. Though in an alt reality, I would've liked what Rupert Wyatt's 'Dawn' was gonna be like..

Despite the spin, I think Wyatt left out of creative differences. With Scott Z. Burns as the writer I think Wyatt wanted a more cerebral sequel.

I didn't know the guy until two days ago when I saw Lawless. I cast no judgment on him but I would rather have Franco back ( I just like the guy as an actor ).

I really want Franco back...even if it's not the lead character, I think it's important to see him. Maybe he's a scientist working WITH the apes now?

I never realized that was him in Lawless!

Him and Dane DeHaan both tore it up last year.

His part was always going to only amount to essentially a cameo and even that was only due to the relationship between Franco and the director. Its not looking like its going to happen.

So long as we don't burn them out and fan cast them in every solitary role. Let them do what they do.

Jason Clarke has an interesting face doesn't he. One of his great features is his high hairline.

I wonder if they will bring in Dr. Zaius.

That's too soon for Zaius he appears when the apes are well established.

I like the setting being 15 years after the last one. Things should really be turning towards the apes.

Dont know anything about the actor but ZDT was a pretty well recieved movie and that includes all of the actors in it, so he must be a decent actor at least.

Its a shame we wont see Wyatt's sequel, but Reeves is a great director. I have said it before in this thread but the guy can do character, and at the same time is great with action and effects. The new story developments seem interesting, shame Franco couldnt come back, even for a small part, but Caesar is obviously going to be the main character in this, so it will be interesting to see.

Didn't Jason Clarke's character have pet monkeys in Zero Dark Thirty? Typecasting.

This is quality casting right here.

With how fast the virus spread he and everyone in the first movie are probably dead.

I do hate that Franco's not some kind of tipping point for Caesar though. I figured something would happen to him like being murdered by one of the more extreme apes and it would start the whole separate factions among them. Some more into the preservation of humans and others who just hate humanity period.

I was bored, and have had this on my mind for a while, so I finally killed some time and made it.

Can not wait to see this movie.
I just loved the first one.

Bought the DVD and just watched it again recently.
