Sweet teaser! A desperate, dooming atmosphere that really clings. Perfectly teasing – not too much, not too little.

I like that Hollywood is taking "The Nolan Approach" and really treating these movies seriously. Godzilla, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, RoboCop... it would be so easy to make these movies ridiculous and cheesy and laughable, but they're really treating all of it with care and integrity. They look like REAL movies that happen to have this larger-than-life element to it. I'm extremely impressed. Godzilla alone, we've come such a looooong way from 1998 to now, haha.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes almost looks like a Horror film, and that's an awesome approach. It's all about tone, and this trailer gets the tone perfectly. Music helps that too.

Example of when the tone ruins a film: Terminator Salvation. That movie could've (and should've) been sooo much better.
