Holy **** what a fantastic teaser. I can guarantee that unless Fox snaps him up for an X-Men movie, Reeves will be asked to direct something for Marvel or DC. That would be awesome

This teaser looked really good, I loved the tone and the mood quite a bit. I think this movie could really be even better than the first one.

It will be. The first won't shouldn't be too hard to top.

Nice teaser I liked the first film and can't wait for this one as well.

I really like the first one, and I adore the cast. Oldman, Clarke (so underrrated), and Russell? I am so in. But why no Franco, or will he have a little cameo?

I think they didn't even want Franco.

"I was going to have a small part in the next one. There was a moment when Rupert Wyatt was going to direct the second one. A lot of the human characters that were in the first movie were dead in the sequel that Rupert was going to direct. But there was one scene, between Caesar and my character, maybe even just like on a video that was left behind, but then a lot of things happened, like [former Fox co-chairman] Tom Rothman who was a big part of the first movie, left. Now Rupert's not a part of it so I don't know. My guess is I won't be in it. Nobody's talked to me since Rupert left."

This takes place 8 years in the future anyway, [BLACKOUT]as Gary Oldman's character says,[/BLACKOUT] so Franco's character could've easily died. Honestly, I don't think Franco's character is essential to the overall arc anyway. There are a million directions to take the story without him.

That looked really good. And the cg on Caesar is fantastic

shows nothing yet is a good teaser. why? because it has a story. it has a build up to something.

i hope we get to see some apes with human clothes or some props on them.

Their war paint is a nice touch. Shows that they are starting to act more human.

I disagree.

The scope might be bigger than part one but improving the emotional resonance and empathy for the apes won't be easy to top.

Meh.
Could've had one more more effective money shots IMO.
I'll still watch it.

Yes, you can do that. But I like continuity and Franco was the face of the first film. He was the most important person to Caesar. Him just being gonna or dying off screen is just bad film continuity imo.

I agree with this. I think the Godzilla teaser was more effective. It still felt like a teaser, but it showed off some powerful money shots. Didn't really feel that with this teaser, but I'm still excited for the movie because the first was so good.

I pretty much agree. While they can certainly make a great movie without him, he was a. Pretty important character in Caesars early life.

Honestly of all the teasers that have been released the past few days , Godzilla impressed the most and Interstellar the least.
Having said that given the talent involved , i will wind up seeing all these movies in the cinema.

Ha, once again, I have to agree with you on all of this.

Show whatever you like. I know where the gold is, and Interstellar is where it is at.

Great little teaser. Love the tone and atmosphere, very excited.

Whatever man.
I don't know what the hell your problem is to attack me like that but your post does come off as insulting to me.
