i got the 3D trailer with Hobbit. and in the 3d trailer its not raining in the last shot. its sunset, hahah how many times did they change it?

Even though I work with computers, I still find it staggeringly amazing how they can film Andy Serkis and turn him into Caesar.

The Academy should create a new category for Best Mo-Cap performance so Andy could finally win an Oscar. He's the greatest mo-cap actor of all time, IMO.

Or at the very least give him a special award. They gave the original Planet of the Apes an award for makeup years before that category was created. It would be fitting for them to do the same now.

Yeah. He deserves a lifetime achievement award for this sort of thing. His performance as Gollum will be remembered forever.

come on guys. give also credit to WETA. you always focus on Serkis. the performance was never copy/paste with Caesar.

You may have noticed that WETA does get nominations and awards.

^Excellent news, I know we havent seen Dawn yet but for me Reeves is a great director, Cloverfield was good, Let Me In was amazing and I have total confidence Dawn will be good as well. Obviously Fox does to with this news.

Cloverfield is only 1 of 2 found footage movies that I even like, and IMO it's the better one of the two(the other one being Chronicle). Great news.

Whoa that's awesome. It's great that they are carrying that over.

So is that on the side of a prison truck? Very odd.

I hope by the end of these reboot films we get to see Earth as the desert wasteland it was in the original film.

^I agree. I also hope that they show how humans get dumb and basically revert to animal intelligence over time as well. That was the biggest mistake in the Burton remake, IMO. Apes getting smart is just half of the equation.

Deadline
20th Century Fox has announced new release dates on three films, including staking out July 9th 2016 for its Untitled Planet of the Apes project.

Love the two year wait instead of three!

I'm sure Fox will extend the series past three movies and see how things go with a fourth one. The can keep the summer movie combo of an X-Men film and Apes film going (2011, 2014, 2016, 2018?)

Great to see they are moving forward on a 3rd movie, they must have some confidence in this sequel getting Reeves back for more and setting a release date already.
