Awesome cast so far.
I loved the first one 'Rise of the.....Apes', and await the sequel.

Keri Russell is fantastic in The Americans, a third quality piece of casting.

I'm happy for her. Her career was kinda stagnant after Felicity. I know she was suppose to be Lois Lane in Superman Returns, and would've been better than the lightweight Kate Bosworth, but that film did't do any favors to no one. So that was a blessing in disguise.

But then she found recognition with 'Waitress' (sad to hear about the director's murder), then The Americans, and now this. Even her small role in Mission Impossible 3 was great. She's been so underrated all these years and now she gets to shine.

She would've been INFINITELY better than Bosworth. That chick brought zero personality to that role, and given that Lois is all personality, that's a pretty big fail.

with the connection shes got to Abrams, i would think he would give her a part in Episode 7. I love that she is part of "Apes" though. One actress that i genuinely like as an actress lol she's also very easy on the eyes as well.

I had a feeling that Matt Reeves was going to cast her as the female lead...I even posted that on IMDB forum for the movie hours before the announcement!

I'm really excited now, I adore Keri, I was a big supportive of her to be cast as Lois Lane in SR and MoS, she's been underrated, but now with the success of The Americans, I believe she'll get the recognition she deserves.

Plus, I'm also excited with the rest of the cast, Gary Oldman is always great, and I'm having a crush on Jason Clarke, who is a terrific actor, btw.

So I have a kind of general POTA. My friend had never seen any of the movies before a few weeks ago when I showed her the original Charlton Heston film. Now how should we proceed with viewing order? I was thinking we'd go with RotPotA. Thoughts?

I totally forgot there was a television series until I was looking the movies on IMDb.

I've seen a few episodes in reruns. It was pretty good.

I believe there was also a Saturday Morning Cartoon series. Never watched it, I think it's a little before my time. But I hear it was well made for its day.

Thats why Hollywood is so unpredictable. I'm very happy for Greer but if you look at her career, yeah, it's been mostly comedic stuff.

Then bam, now she's a leading lady and co-starred in an Oscar nominated film. It's like sheer luck!

Reminds me of Jonah Hill. He's been and going to be in big dramas. It's remarkable.
