DC ELSEWORLDS: Reimagining Keaton Sequels & DC Films that Never Were

The links still don't seem to be working for me:csad:.
It's probably because it's wiki.
Any picture I link to Wiki usually disappears for some reason.
Maybe you could save the pictures to your hard drive then upload them from your hard drive and to the post.
That usually works for me when the pictures I link to don't show up:yay:.

I see it now.:D
I remember that tower from Batman 89:yay:.
I could totally see Burton's Atlantis looking like those Cathedral's and having that architecture.

Thanks :) :)

There you have the last lost pic I was going to find for you. It's the third one on the upper row (which looks a little like Castle Greyskull) :)

I wonder how dark/gothic/moody Atlantis will be in Burton's hands. Is there a chance to actually ask him how he would have done Aquaman?

Thanks :) :)

I see his Atlantis being pretty dark like a Gothic, underwater ,fairytale as opposed to the much lighter Alice and Wonderland.

I would want to see that :) :)

Yes. Like Sleepy Hollow:word:.
I was trying to think of another Burton dark fairy tale, but you've reminded me of Sleepy Hollow.:yay:.

There we have it, Burton's Superman :)
Do you think the film can still happen, but with another director?

You cast is good. Lukas Haas sticks out in a good way.
Gosh, how perfect he would be for the awkward teenage Clark. Him going the Superboy route, still learning to control his powers.
There's is something about him that gives off an alien vibe. I don't know what it is. Do you notice it too?

Krypton as a gothic world. Two thumbs up for that :)
Though I have a problem understanding how those two skyscraper-sized rocks can hold the weight of an entire city, lol

Fortress of Sollitude seems to be like harsh and cold. Such a different vision from other live-action designs..
Why is there sketeton remains of giant animals there?

The glowing floating symbol in Phantom Zone make it seems that it's a part of an old computer game.
"Push it to escape!" haha

I like how Burton wanted Superman's suit to be more plastic-like in the way it looks.
It's shiny, and therefor different from the other Supermen on film and TV.
I hope we can get a version of that suit someday. :)
What are your thoughts about that?

Do you really think Daniel Day-Lewis would agree to star in a film like this?

Thanks Airwings :yay:.
I'd forgotten if I did a solo Superman Cage origin film or whether I did Superman lives:funny:.

As far as Director's go, I think it could happen with another director, though, I think if this were still Burton's vision, the director would probably be someone who very much could get what Burton was going for.

I'm glad you like the cast. :D.
In Haas's case, he very much has that other worldly quality and he also looks like he could be a younger Nicholas Cage. Plus, he's worked with Burton in the past, so it fits.:word:.
He would very much fit a Cage- esque, younger Clark Kent.

I'm pretty sure a couple of the Krypton shots I used were from Burton's Superman lives, but I don't remember which ones they were unfortunately.:(

As far as the suit goes, I'd be down with the type of suit that they were going to go with.:word:

As far as DDL goes, I tend to think, back then ,he would have turned down the offer to play Jor El or any other character in a CBM .

He's usually pretty picky about the projects he does. Maybe today it would be different but I think it would really have to depend on the role and the script.

I hope it can happen with a director who's not too different from Burton in style.
Cage can be Jor-El. It would be interesting to see him as Kal-El's kryptonian father.
A younger actor is needed for Supes. Why not Lukas Haas? Wait, isn't he a bit old too? Well, the hero doesn't really have to be 25 in this story.

So... let's get Haas to wear the shiny plastic suit :word:

Regarding DDL... if Brando can be in a Superman film, why should DDL think of himself above it?

It's ok that you don't rememeber exactly which pics that were from the film.

Yes. Like Sleepy Hollow:word:.
I was trying to think of another Burton dark fairy tale, but you've reminded me of Sleepy Hollow.:yay:.

Three things in one film

A 1925 silent film Batman

A Cecil B DeMille Batman

An art deco Batman made, and set, in the roaring 20s

That Joker actor seems like the best fit for Joker ever.
Does he actually play a Joker-type in the film where the gif comes from?
Is is face also painted white in that one, or is it a fan-made gif?

Interesting cast. Many of the biggest names of that era. You even got Chaplin :)

Thanks Airwings !:D.

I was actually going to do a Green Arrow silent film with Fairbanks but then I thought about the art deco, roaring 20s setting, which would be perfect for Batman, and everything else fell in place.

The Joker actor is Conrad Veidt in the silent film The Man Who Laughs .

That character was at least one of inspiration for the Jokers , according to legend .

I think he actually does play a Joker like killer in that film, though I've never seen it before.

The Riddler was the toughest since I went back and forth between Chaplin as Riddler and Buster Keaton as Riddler.

In the end, I settled for Chaplin as The Mad hatter.

Gloria Stuart was made for a silent screen Catwoman .:D.

You can always do a Fairbanks silent Green Arrow later :)

I saw Gloria Swanson in a serious Billy Wilder film called Sunset Boulevard. Check it out!

Story : As the allied powers gain the upperhand against the battered Axis powers , The Red Skull decides to use this moment to topple the Third Reich and finally install himself as it's new Furer.
With the aid of his ally and secret lover, The Baroness, The two have created an army of super powered assasins , ready to act against not only the power structure of the Reich but to act against the heads of state of the allied powers.

It isn't long before Steve Rogers aka Captain America, crosses with path's with the mysterious Wonder Woman, who, as she did in WW1, wants to save humanity from the evil that has swept across the planet. It isn't long before the two heroes begin to form a close bond. Steve admires her courage, integrity, and her warmth, and Diana grows found of Rogers , who in some ways, reminds her of another Steve she knew years ago.

With Wonder Woman and Captain America now working together, they find themselves in a race against time to stop The Baroness and The Red Skull's plot to decaptate the allied powers heads of state, before an all important invasion occurs on the beaches of Normandy.

Warner Brothers and Marvel together.
At first I was curious. Who's in this cross-over?
Then I saw it.
Captain America & Wonder Woman.
The best superhero duo of all time, maybe?
Other than saving the world, will the two of them have a romantic fling?
Is Peggy going to be jelous?

You even wrote a synopsis. Perfect! :)

Do you know what you've could here?
After Steve Trevor's death in WW1, he's reincarnated as Steve Rogers, lol
He won't be too young because he would be around 25/26 in 1944.
And Chris Pine can actually play the role!!

Glad you like it Airwings:D.
This team up is one of my favorites that I've done.
It seems like a very natural pairing between two kindred spirits.
Imagine the sparks between Gadot and Evans:word:.

I imagine that the two characters would form a close bond, with a clear attraction and affection for each other, but that both would ultimately still be in love with other people.

So, I almost see it as one of those, "If we weren't emotionally attached to other people, we might see where this goes" type, of dynamics.

I imagine Peggy really liking Wonder Woman and admiring her, but also having that slight insecurity about the growing connection between Steve and Diana.
Yet, she would try to hide it , albeit , awkwardly.

I imagine Howard Stark, of course, being Ga Ga over Wonder Woman.:funny:

I do imagine that Baroness and Skull as having an affair , so their team up is more than just a means to and end.

Though, I imagine that they would probably clash alot ,and they probably wouldn't agree on who should rule the world after the war.:funny:.
