In the midst of the coming excitement, 18 year old Clark is filled with anxiety about what he should do with the rest of his life. Johnathan wants him to stay on the farm , while Clark wants to see the world, yet with no career goals. This has caused the first major rift in the relationship between the two of them.
All the while, Jor-El's hologram tells Clark he has a entirely different purpose all together, as the Hologram finally begins to deconstruct how the Kryptonian race ended.
Lex meanwhile is in a dark place after the last film. After catching Clark and Lana kissing, and being alienated by his overbearing father, Lex begins to turn to his deadly experiments and to the darkside. Unfortunately he finds solace and approval by bad girl out Eve , who's in love with the tortured Genius, and he finds a helping hand in the slacker goofball Otis, who will do anything Lex tells him to do.
Career Day has arrived , and each senior is required to spend the day with a representative featured at the event. Featured at the event are White House correspondent Perry White from the Daily Planet, Professor Emil Hamilton a scientist at Star Labs, and an elusive 18 year old rich kid name Bruce who represents Wayne Enterprises.
Clark is assigned to spend the day with Mr. White , but much to Clark chagrin, he has to contend with Mr. White sharp tongued and suspicious 20 year old intern named Lois.
Meanwhile, Lana and Clark's growing attraction is complicated when Pete Ross has admits to Lana that he's always had a crush on her. Pete reveals he's always wanted to tell her but never found the right time since she always had a boyfriend before he could make a move.
Lana and Pete are set to meet with the mysterious young Bruce, but he's seemingly avoiding them, which gives Lana and Pete time to talk about their future's and how they feel about the quadrangle they're in with Clark and Lex.
Lex , on the other hand, wants to Spend the day with Emil Hamilton, determined to get a job at Star Labs and become a self made man, who's power will one day rival Lionel Luthor's.
In Lex's quest to prove himself to Dr. Hamilton, Lionel , Clark, and Lana, a terrible accident will occur which he will blame Clark for. This accident will shape Lex's future forever and send Clark and Lex down a path that will shape both of their destiny's. All the while, the town of Smallville is in for the storm of the century ,and a tornado that can only be stopped by someone with powers beyond those of mortal men. In this storm, a hero will emerge that will change the world.
I'm glad you like the pics. It's been a long time since I read Death in the Family, but I'm pretty sure Jason and Bruce go to Cairo to look for Jason's mother.
I think the paintings of Egypt are very beautiful.
For the warehouse, I wanted to find the most dirty, rundown, awful place for Jason to find himself trapped in. So, its sort of adds to the tragedy when Jason and his mother are blown up there.
And I agree, Lynch could really handle the brutality of the death. I also think he could capture the heartbreak, pain, and guilt that Bruce would feel over Jason's death.

Development History: In the aftermath of the release of Batman Forever, Val Kilmer decides to leave the franchise after "creative differences". Joel Schumacer , after producing one hit Batman film, decides to move on to other projects instead of going forward with the inevitable Batman 4. Since WB won't begin filming the next Batman film until 1997 at the earliest, the studio takes it's time to woo the men who started the franchise, Tim Burton and Michael Keaton . Burton returns on the condition he can tell a darker Batman story he wants to tell.
The story Burton and Keaton are drawn to is the recent Knightfall story arch with Bane as its central villain. However, Burton plans to truncate the story , excising the Azreal storyline and the battle for the cowl , and instead showing Wayne's recovering from his broken back and defeating Bane. Warner Brothers insists on Sam Hamm and Batman The Animated Series writer Paul Dini to take over the scripting duties and Burton concedes once he is assured that all three men have the same vision for the next Batman film. The plan is to return to the darker elements of Batman 1989 while maintaining the level of action of Batman Forever, and further emphasizing Bruce Wayne is the central focus of the film as opposed to his villains.
The studio insists on Chris O'Donnell as Robin returning, but Burton decides to turn Grayson into Nightwing, thinking that the Nightwing character fits into his vision of Batman more than a teen Robin does. Keaton and O'Donnell hit it off well and serve as an interesting contrast as Batman and Nightwing. Michelle Pfeiffer is tapped to reprise her role as Catwoman from Batman Returns , picking up that romantic storyline which was abandoned with Batman Forever. Gough and Hingle once again reprise their roles as Alfred and Gordon. Coming off of the popularity of Die Hard 3 and Pulp Fiction, Samuel L Jackson is cast as Lucius Fox, Bruce Wayne's silent partner of sorts.
For the villainous Bane, Burton goes with Karate Kid and veteran tv actor Martin Cove. Burton decides to fill out the rest of the escapees from Arkham with brief celebrity cameo appearances with Patrick Stewart as Mr. Freeze, Cameron Diaz as Harley Quinn, Mike Myers as Mad Hatter, Jim Carrey as The Riddler, Beetlejuice actress Geena Davis, and Johnny Deep as Scarecrow. This is to plant the seeds for potential Batman sequels in the next decade. The film is released in June of 1998 and is another smash hit in the Batman franchise, doubling the profit of Batman Forever. Plans are soon put in motion for an untitled Batman 5.
I actually didn't realize that it was on and elevated platform until after I posted it.
I actually like the design of the city minus the platform. I wanted it to be a coastal city like New York, and looking at , I totally didn't notice the platform under it.
So , I like the city as a model minus the elevated platform out in middle of the sea. It would be a really awkward living in a city like that when it's time to visit family or friends outside of the city. .

This is a different design for a lantern ring. It looks like a very very old item, from pre-ancient times.
It appears to be made out of stone, not any metal. Like they just crafted the ring from rock and then infused the green energy into it. These beings were not a mining kind of civilization. Instead they only used materials that were at ground level.
How could this be possible? Wouldn't it break easily with that delicate design. Stone isn't as hard as a metal.
Could the glowing energy protect the ring from getting destroyed? Sort of, hold it together?
My fantasy starts running here. I wonder how the costumes looked in that version. If there weren't any mines, there wouldn't be any factories either. Atleast not like ours.
So how would they make their clothes?
I think they did it the old way, they were sewing everything they wear. Using only animal skins and plants. Buth if they were an advanced race, they wouldn't look like stone age beings. Their skills were much better than that.
Perhaps they even grew special organic materials for clothing purposes? Not like cotton though. I think it's something different, like plants or living organisms? Yes that sounds a bit venom-esque LOL
It could also be that because of the ring's age, the metal has corroded and gotten a stone-like look. And my first wild and crazy theory is just my imagination working

I forgot where the pic. I think it's concept art from the 2009 film, but I totally dug the design and I thought it looked cool that it wasn't pristine looking.
I can almost imagine Conrad's Hal looking at it with skepticism, only to take it for a " test run " and be like
" Wow".
It truly looks like something that's been passed down for generations, and even though it's old, it's still one of the most powerful items in the galaxy.
There are so many ways the imagination could go with it. That's one of the things that drew my eye to it. I've seen several different images and versions of the ring , but I thought this one looked the most unique to me..
It does
The ring isn't technologically crafted. It's not a kind of "mini computer".
It's basic and natural, and infused with cosmic energy (magic?)
Somehow, these beings didn't have advanced technology. They were great in other fields. They could harness raw energy from around them, in ways we can't understand
And the weapon they created could still match civilizations with extremely advanced tech.
These beings are similar to the gods of greek mythology. Those didn't have "science" either.

Frodo, here is an interesting one for you to cast & come up with some sets for a live action version.
If you did it already, I apologize, I looked back, (not every page) but didn't come across it.
