Watched the Batman trailer

Having to wait over 210 minutes to get there I'm like

So batman being immune to bullets like superman is also new huh
He clearly has body armor. Though if that is an actual complaint you have, I am not sure how you could have watched BvS or the Snyder Cut. Where Batman somehow survives being hit by Superman.

Thank goodness that trailer delivered because Fandome was--I dont wanna be too harsh because this is a FREE online event--but it didnt live up to expectations. Very mixed bag. No big announcements, way too little time spent on the movie stuff and way too MUCH time spent on tv stuff. I understand some films are in production/post production still and not fully ready yet but Matt Reeves brought the house down last year with 25% of the movie filmed. We could have gotten a better taste of DC films upcoming.

Nope, been a thing since BvS, where Batfleck was shrugging off bullets to the back of his head.

You don't even pay attention to the lousy films you love to stan.

Are people really serious about the trailer not being good or living up to the hype?

What more did you want? The whole story?

I have some concerns about the movie being too dark lighting wise, making fights "unclear". Of course it makes it easier to "cheat" on stunts.

If this movie just isn’t your jam, that’s fine

if you’re ragging on this because you’re bitter that the stuff you like is no longer happening because general audiences strongly rejected it, then well………

I don't know man. It just seems wrong seeing the greatest martial art fighter just walking straight into a bullet spree like an immortal, just not my batman i guess :down

The beautiful part is that you can always go back to the Batmen you like

If there’s one thing in this world we aren’t short on, it’s Batman content. More than enough for everyone

Meh. This is the same place that will do things like make lame jabs at past versions of Batman to prop up a new one, so Its not surprising that some Snyder fans are salty right now. Being petty isn't new here.

The least you can do, however, is be consistent. Don't whine about stuff one Batman does when some of your preferred Batmen do the same thing.

Are you a fan of Batman, or a fan of Zack Snyder?

I mean, I ask this because every hardcore, in-your-face Snyderista walks around talking like they've been so wronged, so oppressed, and how Snyder's take is the first or only time certain things have been done with the character. Almost like they only became Batman/DC fans WITH Snyder's work, so they refuse to accept any other adaptations of the material. So I think you need to ask yourself which thing you're a fan of, and consequently what you're doing here. Y'all act like some of us Batman fans weren't marginalized or disappointed when Tim Burton was replaced, or with how much trashing the Burton films got when the Nolan films were out. Your pain isn't new.

I didn't really like The Batman trailer much, either. I also would have preferred it to have been a solo vehicle for Affleck (though I hated Snyder and his ideas for the character and am glad he's gone)--but you have to get over Snyder and yourself. Accept the fact that Ben wanted out, and that the general audience didn't like the Snyderverse. Stop deluding yourself. I realize my views on this coming movie will be the minority opinion--I don't need others to accept my negative view on the material to know my own feelings are valid, and I certainly don't feel the need to be Captain Killjoy.

Well if you’re a Burtonverse fan then at least you have The Flash to look forward to. Looks like they will be pretty faithful to that iteration.

I love Burton and Nolan. So your point about being a „Snyderista“ is invalid. My pain isn't new, i survived schumacher…

Well sure--I mean, at this point in history, it's safe to say "well, maybe I'll like the next one." There's gonna be Batman movies until the end of time, and whereas a moment like the failure of Batman & Robin felt so terrible at the time because people thought it was all over with--superhero movies are keeping the box office afloat, now. There's always now gonna be another train in fifteen minutes!

I hope to be surprised when I go to see The Batman next year, but until then, this new trailer made me even less excited. And yeah, at least in the same year I'll also have Ben and Keaton back. Something for everyone.

One can only hope they do him justice at least. But iam cautiously optimistic. I hope we dont get another luke skywalker situation :csad:

Then be an adult and stop trying to get people to validate your disappointment. Move on and, dare I suggest it, try to find things to like about the new Bat on the block.
