DC/Marvel-which do you prefer?

I dunno...while I find myself picking up more Marvel these days, I'd like to think of myself as a DC. I just wish DC would get their **** together.

Both. I read whatever title each company puts out worth my time.

Marvel has effed up my favorite characters, but their events never fail.
DC can be real corny, but they rarely get so damn serious that their comics come off like Marvel's "The Other"...

Marvel for now. But I'm leaning more towards DC cuase you actually know who the bad guys are. There are way to many grey areas in the MU.

I prefer DC overall, but for the time being Marvel is producing the better comics.

While before I was a Marvel Zombie Now be it Marvel,DC,Veritgo or Dark Horse whatever I read it if it's good.

Nope, he's obsessed with Superman's popularity.

MARVEL has so many good characters. Ironman 8, X-men 8, Daredevil 8, Spider-man 9, etc, but DC has BATMAN and SUPERMAN. It's a tie for me.

I prefer Marvel, because most of the DC characters are overpowered and Stale. Batman I like, but Earth-1 Superman is boring, and they killed off the original Superman.

That's not true. DC's most popular characters are powerful. Marvel has just as many if not more powerful characters......they just aren't very popular.

I keep wanting to say both, but I prefer Marvel. For some reason I've always found their characters and stories more interesting. It wasn't until I got a little older that I decided to give more DC characters a chance, but even they have a bit of a more Marvel-like kind of flavor (Green Arrow, Batman, Etrigan...)

I go both ways(no pun intended), but I will pick Marvel over DC in a life or death sit.

:bh:

My gut reaction was to say both, but to be completely honest, other than some mainstays, I'm finding it incredibly hard to pick up any new DC comics.

Marvel. It's much less complicated and its characters come off as more of the everyman rather than gods. Some people may prefer reading about the god-like DC heroes, but Marvel always rings home to me...unless the character is getting screwed over.

Granted, I like Batman and the JLA, and sometimes I do like to look at one of the Big Seven and just be in awe of the sheer power of them. But Marvel's got Spidey, whose my favorite, and Daredevil. And Cap. And the X-Men...and X-Factor, darn it!

There are heroes and villians in both that i like equally. So i must say BOTH as well.

Both, cuz i'm not a racist.

Heh, I'm guessing that was aimed at me, its all good though Anubis.:yay:
I prefer Marvel, especially recently because they have a knack for making characters interesting. All of marvel's heroes are more or less normal people with normal problems but with super abilities. Alotta DC's heroes are from outer space and therefore are a little less relatable. Thats just my opinion.

I'm basically a fan of Marvel,I only really like DC because of Batman pretty much.

Both.

Long live Booster Gold and The Immortal Iron Fist.

DC - solely for their Vertigo imprint.

The Marvel heroes no longer interest me. Same with the DC heroes, although I will buy the Starman omnibuses when they're released, but that'll be it hero-wise

I'm a 60/40 DC guy myself.

It's not so much the characters I prefer - both DC and Marvel have some fantastic characters - but the universe itself.

As for DC characters being overpowered and one-dimensional, they're really not. DC just constantly makes the mistake of pushing overpowered and 1D characters into the public consciousness, while letting characters who are actually really interesting, fly under the radar.

Wally West, Kyle Rayner, Tim Drake, Cassandra Cain, Ollie Queen, the whole JLI crew and more are all great characters, not particularly overpowered, but hardly known by non-DC readers.
