Son of a ****** My LCS says they didn't get Batman 21 this week!!!

I was actually disappointed with Batman 21. It read like it could have been a 10 page back-up in another DC book.

You got King'ed. Still, I liked it as a set up.

It was a set up issue, for sure. But I thought it was a real solid one. Fabook's art was particularly good.

You know what I want to see coming out of Rebirth. Batman and Flash doing the gumshoeing and intel gathering while Superman goes to every corner of the DCU to get everyone ready for the upcoming battle. I want Superman recruiting and warning everyone in every corner of the universe. Heroes and villains alike. The line of thought is that he can't fight it alone, that the Justice League can't fight it alone.

I'm so hyped for when the pieces of Rebirth finally start coming together.

Just finished reading Batman #21. Man, those 9-panel pages... :hmr:

This was a great week for DC Rebirth. I still have several more titles to get through, but Batman, Superman, Trinity, and Nightwing each ranged from being solid to great.

I did not want Batman #21 to end, and as others have said, Fabok's art was excellent.

Fabok is a goddam genius. Loved his art. Batman #21 was awesome.

I may be dense but who was watching the hockey game at Arkham?

DC announces Dark Matter line/imprint that will spin out of Metal:

This is stupid. The "unique" approach which they gush about in this video should be standard par for how comics are created. And the talents they are putting forward are the same talents DC has been using for years. Snyder/Capullo team up? Gee, revolutionary. Groan. And the selling point for a story is Batman with battle axes? You guys are really pushing the boundaries of comics, there. :whatever:

I think Dark Matter will be their OTT "cut loose" imprint. **** that you would never see in the main DC line is possible in Dark Matter.

It allows them to play around and experiment with their stable without pissing the fans off. I think it's a great idea.

You ever wanted to see Superman literally lead a charge and wave a flag into an epic battle/war (I sure as hell do)? That's what this line is for.

I mean, it sounds just like the Young Animals line. Except the big wigs like Jim Lee and Scott Snyder felt left out, so they made their own version.

They can call it whatever they want. In 3 years, nobody will remember the name of the imprint, and chances are most of the books will be cancelled anyway.

But...superman has done that...and can still do that in a normal superman book.

Kind of worried for Superwoman. Of all the ****ing characters in DC comics Phil Jimenez got me to care about a Lana Lang solo book.

Here's the cover for #10. Hopefully y'all will consider picking it up.

I just got myself up to date with Aquaman, and i have to say that it was pretty good.
Really enjoyed the 21 issues and the storylines.
I liked how they painted Aquaman as so much more than just the "superhero", its something i love when comics do it.
All those people are more than just the superheroes who beat up the evil guys and save the day, what they do and who they are, involves "normal" people too.

It was really cool...even though i still cant get behind Arthurs Look.
Some panels looked really cool, but overall i find the suit just too goofy and it just looks weird imo.
Something that looks more like a armor, a rougher look...would work for me more.
But that is nitpicking, i like the art in general.

Would give the Aquaman Rebirth comics overall a 8/10, very entertaining.

wait??!! Has Conner/Superboy been written out of existence??

In the new Action Comics, it continues with the new "revised/unified" history of Superman.

HOWEVER, when it gets to the aftermath of Doomsday killing Superman, it shows the men who stepped forward to replace Superman - it shows Steel, Eradicator, and Henshaw Cyborg Superman. It also showed Mongul and Green Lantern?

But NO Superboy!! Conner was noticeably absent from that lineup, cuz I remember way back when the Doomsday story first came out, Superboy was one of the characters who came forward to replace Superman.

so, does this mean Conner has been erased from continuity? or has his backstory been changed to something else?

I guess they're keeping his New 52 backstory, if he still exists in Rebirth world??

ay......this is all still so confusing......lol.

The Flash was amazing. Also liked Teen Titans.

That would piss me off. For them to fix all of Superman's back story, but leave out one of my favorite characters--who played a huge role in the Death of Superman story--would just be a huge oversight.

Unless they're saving Superboy for something in particular. [BLACKOUT]He could still be in a cell next to Tim, being held by Mr. Oz.[/BLACKOUT]

Remember that not everything has been fixed/reset yet.
