DC Universe - Superman: Man of Tomorrow

I'm putting this in spoiler tags, as I think this UK Blu-Ray spine potentially spoils a plot point of the movie:

1.) That's clearly Brainiac at the top of the Blu-Ray spine. Perhaps the movie's big bad for the climax or part of an end credit tease for a follow-up movie?

2.) I might be crazy but that looks like Wonder Woman's bracelet, suggesting that the top of the Blu-Ray spines might create an over-arching image in the future AND that we could be looking at a brand new in-continuity set of movies. A new WW movie after Batman: Soul of the Dragon? We'll just have to wait and see.

Here's a link to Amazon UK where the image can be magnified.
I like the sound of that!

Just pre-ordered this on iTunes, for some reason UK release is 24th whereas US is 23rd. Not sure why :hmm

The director (Chris Palmer) has confirmed this will kickstart a new shared universe/continuity for the DC UNIVERSE DTV's.

EDIT: The article has now been updated to say it IS NOT the start of a new shared universe.

WB should just come out with next years slate/ plans now.

No tomorrow. At least that’s what the article says.

Afraid not it’s only one day for this weekend.

The Watchverse which includes the Man of Tomorrow and the other stuff are for Sept. 12

IGN and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment want you to join the cast and filmmakers of Superman: Man of Tomorrow on Sunday, August 23 at 2 pm PT/5 pm ET, for a special 45-minute panel, streaming exclusively here on IGN as well as on our YouTube platform.

So they going to have a second Batman Origin, a 3rd WW Origin, a 2nd GL Origin and a 2nd JL Origin. Man they are really milking my money!! Lol hope we got a Flash Origin

Unfortunately, the film has leaked online. Just giving everyone a heads-up in case if you want to avoid spoilers prior to watching correctly.

That's because it's been officially released on digital.

Yeah, I made that discovery a little bit later. Just saw the film after having purchased it, via digital download.

Honestly, I wasn't really impressed by it. Frankly, I found it to be pretty disappointing. I think it would have been better to adapt the "Birthright" or "Secret Origins" series instead of going for "American Alien". Plus, the animation style really never caught for me as well.

I seriously hope that this isn't a taste of what's to come for the new DC Animated Universe.

Was Batman or WW mentioned in this??

Batman is first referenced as a photograph in a stack of papers that Lois is copying with a post-it saying “Cool Cape.” Batman is then mentioned by Martha Kent specifically when she’s discussing the design of the Superman costume. She’s a bigger fan of Batman than the STAS version of Martha.

I actually very much enjoyed this movie. Would love to see this creative team take a crack at a greater DC universe or at least just a sequel with this cast again.

This was a fine film but it didn’t wow me like I hoped; but it’s still the best Superman film in a long, long, time that’s much better than the last few live-action attempts. Thought the voice acting and animation was solid and quite fluid(the action was well done). Character designs were also pretty rad and distinct and I like that the immigrant/alien aspects of Superman’s was emphasized here more than other versions of the story. At times you really do feel for Clark and his struggle to fit in knowing he isn’t one of us, and I really like Clark’s relationship with Martian Manhunter - they’re both strangers in a strange land and they do have quite in common being survivors/refugees from a dead civilization. That was beautifully done.

What about the movie came up short for you?

This isn't coming up on DC Universe. Where's it been released? Was hoping to be able to see it on DCU.

I think DCU are getting the animated films later now cause I think the simultaneous releases saw then losing money.

Just finished watching the film, honestly this was a solid Superman film that proves in the right hands its possible to make a modern era version without losing the ingredients and characteristics of the Hero.

Seriously why can the live action filmmaker s get this on point.

Any post credit scenes??
