Quick question.

Can you play DC vs DC characters in the game as well?

Yes you can have DC characters fight each other and same goes for MK, even in the beginning of story mode. They just want to show off the war in all the trailers.

It shouldn't, but it does. Both GTA: San Andreas and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion were in fact re-rated after the fact due to user created content. So while what you're saying is the logical thing, it is not how the ESRB does things at all.

I thought that with GTASA and ES4 though, there was some offensive content that was already on the disc, and it only took a mod to access it (or, a Gameshark code in the case of the console versions of GTA SA)? In the case of GTA SA it was the Hot Coffee minigame, and with ES4 it was boobies on the female characters (which during gameplay are covered with clothes)? If there is no offensive content on the actual MK vs. DCU disc, and all of the additional gore / violence is contained within the download, then it should not affect the rating of the disc product.

If content that's not even on a game disc can affect a game's rating, then Tomb Raider and Dead or Alive Volleyball should be rated AO.

You're exactly right. GTA:SA and ES4 had discarded content still on the discs that could be accessed, which is why the ratings were changed.

From what I've heard, they have changed a lot of fatalities to get the rating down, so they devs might have still left the content. It's hard to tell until the game comes out

If DLC doesn't affect the disc rating, then why do all Rock Band and Guitar Hero DLC end up with the censored versions of the songs? I'm 90% sure that anything you add to the game officialy can change the rating of the disc.

I think Batman is actually one of the rare exceptions of heroes never killing. In continuity of course. The Golden Age Batman killed and even carried a gun at one point. Frank Miller's Batman is debatable. And I believe in Son of the Demon he killed as well.

I for one, want to put Green Lantern up against Superman or Batman. Actually there are several DC on DC matchups I want to do. That's one of the major reasons I want this game. There are other obvious reasons, but that one is something I've been looking forward to since the game was announced.

I just think it'd be fun to kick Batman's ass as Sub-Zero and vice versa. Superman is going to be a blast to play with, and I think the Flash will be fun too, though I've never really been a fan of the light-hitting speedsters. Maybe this game will be different.

Which is why I feel that Liu Kang is a better counterpart for Batman than Subby, from a continuity perspective Liu has never killed anybody either and his refusal to kill is what inevitably lead to his demise.

I just start to dislike the Rage mode the more I see of it. It's basically a god mode. It may be short, but I fear some havy balance issues. I already see myself barely or not using it at all. Against the AI it's something different.
