Poison Ivy is a good choice because she'd really fit in well with the MK characters, hell most Batman characters would because of their darkness

i agree... many MK fighters have elemental abilities.... Ivy would fit in perfectly... poisonous kisses, many plany movies, spores and powders, thorns... she could be alot of fun.

She doesn't do hand to hand combat. She has no formal training in any sort of melee combat. There's absolutely zero reason she should be in this game, other than "lol plant powers". Expecially if what Boon is talking about is real, about how they're reamking the fighting engine and it's going to have a lot of close combat/grappling/wrestling moves and such. Psn Ivy just doesn't fit in with the group.

I don't think a pre-req of being in the game is formal hand to hand training. The Joker will probably be in and he always just gets his ass kicked by Batman because he has no training, surely he would get his ass kicked by an experienced member of the Lin Kuei...right? But there has to be that leverage because it is just a game

If they had say Joker instead of her, I'd be alright with it cause at least some versions of the Joker he can throw some punches and such, but Poison Ivy? Sindel I was never really a fan of but overall I like these additions.

I say hell yeah to Poison Ivy...if anything fill the DC side with Batman villains. I really can't think of actual good DC characters they could use.

If there smart they'll pick a lot from the Batman universe.

Wonder Woman

Those are all More deserving of a slot on the roster then Poson Ivy.

stop bi*^#-ing... dude. hand to hand combat only gets very very very boring... you have to spice it up a bit and characters with unique abilities do just that.

No one said hand to hand fighting only. Ever since the first MK people have been using fireballs and other crazy stuff. Now if Poison Ivy would be known for hand to hand combat AND using plants, it'd be a whole different story. But she relies on plants only.

Heard of them ok.Ever picked up one of their comics?To answer your question I'd prefer Aquaman or Hawkman over Poison Ivy.

I'm not complaining about her as a comic character. I'm questioning her inclusion in a fighting game that involves a mystical martial arts tournament and features a bunch of Ninjas.

And I care because I think that there are characters that deserve the spot way more than her. Also, I remember reading in one of Boons interviews that they'd choose DC characters based on their popularity and who would be the equivalent to their MK characters. So why exactly is Poison Ivy in this again?

I'm pretty excited about these new character reveals. Poison Ivy isn't a great hand to hand fighter, but they could augment that with her using plant based attacks like whipping with vine and throwing thorns.
I'm really excited that GL was confirmed. There's so many potential ways they could use his powers in this game. I hope they got really creative with it
