Yeah, the comic shop back home before I moved earlier this year was like that. Now I don't even have a real comic shop, we have an entertainment store that does movies, books, music and other stuff and very obviously doesn't care about their comics section enough to put them out on time and its a guessing game as to whether or not their up. I went in there a played out this scenario way too many times with way too many employees on wednesday afternoons:

Me: Where are the comics that are supposed to be out today?
Employee: Um... which ones are supposed to be out today.
Me: All of them...
Employee (starting to panic cause they know nothing): Uh... Uh... I don't really know anything about that.

I eventually decided they were too dumb for my business when I asked one of the managers about it and they seemed completely ignorant of when comics are supposed to come out. So I started getting mine online exclusively, which is nice cause you get a big discount if you order a couple months in advance through some retailers.

Basically, since I refuse to go to the only comics retailer in the area Im sort of stuck with deciding from online previews and interviews with creators and such. And I just couldn't really decide if Voodoo would be worth my time and I've never read anything by the writer so I'm just gonna wait and see if I hear good things about it.

Sorry to hear that there's no good comic book shops near you. Glad that your able to get them online though

As for I, Vampire, I'm just kind of sick of vampire stories (though I do love American Vampire) and it taking place in the DCU isn't enough of a hook for me and I've never heard of the writer. If I hear some amazing stuff about it I might check it out later but from what I've seen so far hasn't really impressed me.

Yeah, just sort of sucks cause the one I used back home from when I started reading almost 10 years ago up until I moved in January was always really good about getting stuff out on time and having enough of everything. Its been a pain getting used to waiting a few days for the comics to get here.

Yeah, DCU Dark books are looking like the most awesome new titles. Too bad most of em will likely be cancelled earliest too.

I hope that Demon Knights lasts for a long while at least. That series looks like its going to be a magical epic of epicness

Loving the designs for the characters. The new Shining Knight looks so fab

Demon Knights look really awesome and I hope it lasts. But I think the best bets for longevity are probably Justice League Dark (mostly based on the sales power of the first two words) and Swamp Thing. I really want Animal Man to last but I'm worried it'll be stuck in the shadow of the Grant Morrison run for some readers. The first to be cancelled will probably be I, Vampire unless it gets alot of critical acclaim, thats the Dark title Ive seen getting the least interest around the web.

I really want to be surprised and for Demon Knights, Animal Man and Frankenstein and other good Dark titles to make it though. Here's hoping.
