No according to that Manabyte, the first hour doesn't relate much to the plot. Something like that.
I wouldn't be surprised if the film overuses breaking the fourth wall and makes a parody of itself. From the clips and promos, they are emphazing more on the jokes and not the plot of the film.

If Deadpool isn't as good would make it easier for MCU to replace the franchise
But then wasn't the reactions to test screenings in January very positive?
Why are people losing their **** because of one nobodies opinion? I mean, who even is this guy?

It takes nearly an hour before Deadpool decides he should try to protect the kid.
How many great scripts make great films without the direction to go with it?Nothing really is being said about the Directing though.
If the script was never good to start with that's hugely disappointing given how well Reese, Wernick and Reynolds did on the first one. They didn't need Miller to write it as it was written prior to him being hired and almost line for line what we got.
But yeah, if all this is legit I guess we'll be able to see why Miller had his issues and it's a shame the both of them didn't work things outs.

Translating a script, making it work, is very important. I have seen half baked scripts turned fantastic through direction. Watching the outtakes of the first film, I feel like it is clear how much the editing and direction were vastly important to making it work. If Miller didn't come back do to the direction and control of Reynolds, what does that say?
One thing I have seen with the trailers as this film's advertising feels far more try hard then the original film itself is.
Reaction to the screening wasn't abysmal like I've seen reported online, it was just pretty meh.
This will be a serious shame if it doesn't turn out well. The first one was awesome and something totally different.

It would be another misfire for Fox! Anyway, Reynolds writing this didn't give me more confidence as I don't think he's the go to guy when it comes to scriptwriting. While Tim Miler leaving is clearly becoming a sign why he left in the first place. It would look like he dodged a bullet here if this ends up below average.
It can be hard to outdo or even match a great first outing, but it shouldnt be that difficult to still make a good film.Sometimes when the first one is so good it's hard to keep it going.![]()
