Deadpool 2 Deadpool 2 News and Discussion - Part 2

Thing is its fair to say that at some point in the film it looks like it will just be domino and Deadpool alone for whatever reason. in which case it kinda asks the question where are the others if they survived?

I know there was location shooting images with Domino and Deadpool in parachute harnesses landings but none of the other were clearly spotted there.

Its possible they filmed several versions. or maybe reshoots really did fix it and they appear a little more in the film. maybe the audience didn't react well in screenings to it.

Maybe the convoy heist thing is multifaceted and the others are doing things elsewhere. I know we see them all jump out of the helicopter at the same time but maybe they end up different places?

You said the look was part of her ''iconography''...i.e. that the look is ''iconic''. That's a huge stretch.

To say that she is ''unrecognizable'' from her comic book counterpart is false.

I love this take on domino's look.

Contrast and compare to what they seemed to have done to poor Starfire...

I hope it pulls in huge numbers though (and is well received) because I really don't want Feige to give the Deadpool franchise the ax once Marvel takes over. I don't give a **** about the Singer X-Men series but I really want DP to continue. And Cable and Domino too, if Brolin and Zazie are as awesome as they look here.

If they base their reboot on Deadpool then that means they need to keep everything Deadpool 1, 2 and probably X-Force set up and then TRY to work their MCU universe around it rather then work Deadpool into it.

Personally i don't think money or reviews will be the deciding factor on that.

They could take Deadpool, keep it going and just let Ryan do what he wants... its just gonna be harder to try and dissect elements marvel may or may not want, and elements Ryan may to keep want to keep and fit it in the MCU seamlessly.

Last trailer didn't make it sound that way.

Can't find the link but here's what the guy confirmed/discofnirmed

Vanessa gets killed but then in the post credits scene her death is undone. He disconfirmed that the movie had no plot and it's 30 minutes longer than the first (we now know it's 1 hour and 51 minutes). He disconfirmed that Dopinder and Weseal have a subplot. He confirms that the X-Force is assembled but then disconfirmed that they're all killed off. He also talks about what happens to Juggernaut and how he gets killed. He also talks about how Vanessa exists in an afterlife version of her and Wade's apartment. He mentions the Green Lantern and Barakapool after credits scene.

This guy also claims that he doesn't know where all the negative talk came from because the folks he talked to really liked it and he personally liked it more than the first.

*Its in a 4chan post from March 12th. So if the X-force members are in this for longer than expected then there were no reshoots to fix anything and it was in the film from the get go. Or it was in one of the versions of the film from the get go.

I think there are two different cuts to the film. I mean I don't think it. Fox admitted there were two different cuts. So I wouldn't be shocked if both cuts had different fates for the X-Force members.

I don't think what Jeremy Conrad is saying is true when he claims the reshoots fixed the X-Force members because as I said there was a guy who pretty much had the same spoilers as Jeremy Conrad but released them before Jeremy BUT in his version the X-Force members don't die. Btw I emphasize he had them before Jeremy not to discredit Jeremy but to show that the guy didn't just get his info from Jeremy lol He also mentioned what happens with Vanessa throughout the film, what happens with Juggernaut, the end credits scene. Let me see if I can find you the link.

That's why I think there were two different versions.

If i remember right Jeremy Conrad said some found it "mean-spirited". maybe the [BLACKOUT]X-Force members deaths[/BLACKOUT] were what people found to be mean spirited.

Peter dies from Zeitgeists acid blood in the face, but given the comedic ordinary guy nature of the character id be quite surprised if he was killed off

That's the point.
Somehow this is the one I'm looking forward to seeing because that would probably take the cake as far as parodies go.

Well they are introducing alternate universes/multiverses. Deadpool can be an extension because his fourth wall breaking does make it hard to put him in the direct MCU. Mentioning the dc universe too might make it tricky. I don't recall any MCU movies make jokes about actual comic characters. Not like how DC shows the Flash mentions Spider-Man and other heroes on the regular.

I didn't even want to bring race into this, because ultimately I don't care about race either. But to me it looked like certain posters suggest celebrating the new look of Domino because of diversity and that alone validates it and should be embraced.
In this day and age of Hollywood yes it should be celebrated. They would’ve either cast a white girl to play this character or then taken a girl black, Asian, Hispanic, Arabic etc background and then painted her white to look like the real character. Either way having a diversified woman would’ve been squashed in one hit. They decided to go with Zazie who they thought was the best option and decided that instead of covering her black skin white let’s change it up a bit and show a badass chick who can be any nationality or race and give her a chance to shine. I prefer this to having them cast Zazie and then painting her white.

If they intended to boast with her ethnicity, I don't think it should be celebrated. If not, then I don't see why they didn't paint her white outside perhaps she looks too odd with that kind of make-up. Then there's a question again - why did they cast her then if she can't wear white make-up...

Again, they tested the white make up. Chose this. Feel free to join another poster in his complaints about Vanessa.

Yeah, well maybe they should have taken this actress and painted her white!

...err, wait...

They clearly should have only been auditioning albino actresses.

Lol pretty much.

Let’s be real honest here. If they casted Zazie and then painted her white what do you think would’ve happened? There would be an outcry from the PC keyboard warriors who don’t even know the character and then the movie would get a ton of negative press from the get go. They obviously wanted to cast diversely in this film when they were looking for actresses for Domino and they went with what they thought was going to cause the least controversy. Some fans saying this doesn’t look like the comic Domino compared to masses of people who complain just to complain. I get where they went and respect it.

I like how he appears to have the same costume from the first one. Bloody stains, bullet holes and all.
