Good to see Brolin is taking the roll pretty seriously with the working out, clearly dedicated. Cant wait to see the first pics of him in full Cable outfit, thats going to be an epic day for this films buzz.

What was his name when he joined X-Force? I'm reading it right now so I should know that. Regardless, I mean James, not John.

I've thought about different ideas of one to one comparisons. I think the obvious was replacing Cannonball with Negasonic Teenage Warhead. I previously suggested replacing James Proudstar with Colossus. The biggest issue is Deadpool. His use of swords would make him a natural replacement for Shatterstar, but Shatterstar is such a delightfully weird character that I'm not sure I want to do that.

Shatterstar is fierce and deserves to appear in a X-Force film!

Honestly, then, I'd go with the original X-Force lineup, but replace Cannonball with NTW and add Deadpool:

EXCLUSIVE: Fox has set Jack Kesy to play a major villain in Deadpool 2. While insiders said it isn’t entirely clear which baddie he will play, sources have pinpointed a character called Black Tom. In the comics, he is a nemesis in the X-Men universe, a Dublin-born mutant who can manipulate, bond with, and project energy through plant life.

And Juggernaut didn't die in X-Men: The Last Stand, not that the Deadpool films would be concerned with continuity at all and can just ignore that.

We can finally get that Colossus vs Juggernaut showdown that was promised in X3.

Glad they're using (presumably) Black Tom though, since all of us kinda wanted him to go after Wade's healing or whatever. Unfamiliar with the actor, and seems a bit young on the surface, but I'm interested in what they'll do. I like that he's a fresh face to the genre.

Love the stories you've posted panels from. And I'm glad that the team is using characters from Deadpool's early mini-series and series. What's exciting about "Deadpool 2" is that the script didn't leak, so we know absolutely nothing about the story they're gonna tell, and the characters they're gonna use.

It's going to be interesting to see how David Leitch is going to portray Black Tom's powers.

P.S.: Did Rob Liefeld have a falling out with the guys behind the movie? He's been kinda cryptic today on Twitter, and it's strange that he hasn't posted anything on Jack Keys being cast in "Deadpool 2." He's usually cheerleader #1 for the movie.

Those are the characters that get the main attention this movie? I can see Vanessa having less time since she shouldn't be a damsel again. Pool will probably call Colossus and Warhead in as reinforcements.

I doubt it. I do remember at least one tweet where he just suggested that folks not ask him questions since, hey, he knows as much about the film as we do. He did talk up things like the Cable and Domino casting, so I doubt there's any sort of falling out. He probably just doesn't have anything to say since he may not know about it.
