As long-time stuntmen and 2nd unit directors, they've probably had their fair share of directors/studios who didn't know what they wanted and had to be thrown around trying to accommodate their demands. And also they've had good experiences under directors who knew what they wanted, like The Wachowskis, David Fincher, Paul Greengrass, the Russos etc.

Their other point was how much they value the actor relative to the character. Plus, Leitch wants to delve into world building and I couldn't be more excited with those remarks.

Washington talks about the rumors

The star of ABC's “Scandal” is rumored to be the top choice for a role in the highly anticipated “Deadpool 2” as Domino, a very powerful female mutant/mercenary. Washington played coy when speaking to “Extra,” sharing, “I don’t have anything to say about that.” She did add she would want the role if offered to her, “Of course I would, but of course you have to get the right person for whatever role.”

If we believe Liefeld's word we can believe in the reported May production dates for the film. Makes sense considering what we've heard from Rhett and Paul plus the fact that Ryan has started working out for Deadpool again.

Call me weird but it's fun to hear that an actor has started training for a role. It reminds me of pro fighters getting in the gym to train for a big fight lol.

Maybe just doing a touch up? But I'm curious why they're not working on X-Force. Perhaps Ryan wants to fast track X-Force? He does have history with Carnahan though.

But hey, if they've got time, they should both be brought on to help Kinberg on the flagship films.

Now there's a great idea that probably won't, but should, come to fruition because of Fox's blinders: if the Deadpool writers are free, let them take a shot at the main series films. Sure, main series X-Men isn't the same as writing for Deadpool, but give them some comics, a bit of time, and they can make something just as special.

Yeah, what the heck happened there? Reese and Wernick are great writers and really were part of what made Deadpool work so well.

They are out. Reynolds and Goddard are working on the script together.

Well, that's disappointing. I mean, Goddard is a great pick and I'm sure he'll do great...but why get rid of Reese and Wernick? Why get rid of part of the team that made Deadpool great? I would hope this isn't another Tim Miller situation where Reynolds had a different vision from the creative team, but this is just coming out, so perhaps we'll learn more as this develops.

I don't get the confusion. If the script isn't up to snuff you get a new writer. It's pretty simple.

And I say this knowing that the script is fresh, but I'm just wondering what led to Reese and Wernick being replaced, given that their scriptwriting is part of the reason Deadpool is as good as it is. And up until now, it seemed like the two were in this until X-Force.

It can't be that much of a significant rewrite as Deadpool 2 is supposed to come out next year.

Deadpool must've given RR bigheaditis

I'm sorry, but do some of you think the script was absolutely flawless, and then FOX and Reynolds decided to hire Goddard for no reason?

I hope not. That's already part of the narrative for why apparently things broke down between Reynolds and Miller, who did have some great ideas for Deadpool.

At first there was a Producer, Writers, Director, & a Composer. Now there's just a Producer. The problem is him.

The bright side hes a damn good Deadpool and he's making X-FORCE relevant.

They won FoX critical award's. They'll be writing for DC within the month now.

I guess we can rest now

@RhettReese and Paul Wernick are still very much writing the screenplay. They're the heartbeat of the whole operation.

So colliders wrong? CB.com reporting Joe's directing X-FORCE what's going on???
