Why wouldn't?
Cudmore would play Colossus if he agreed.
He didn't want play without using his voice.
That was the reason for recast.
=> The whole movie we don't see Piotr's real face.

Rogue or other wouldn't be CGI, so Anna can play.

Principal photography is scheduled to start today. Do you think we'll get our first look at Cable & Domino this week, or do you think we'll have to wait until Comic Con?

They seem to be a bit more secretive about the movie this time around, which is actually a good thing, but I'd still love to see a promo pic featuring those two new characters.

I think if they wanted to make a statement, they could unveil how they look. The Mario Lopez segment and the Burt Reynolds picture really helped set the tone for the entire film. But they've already proven themselves with the first film, so they can afford to work quietly until marketing really kicks up into gear.

There's some outdoor filming going on this week in Vancouver though, so we'll probably get some pictures. Josh and Zazie don't seem to be in Vancouver though.

They may be working around Josh Brolin's Avengers: Infinity War schedule, and film the scenes feat. Cable and Domino later.

I hope that they will release an official pic of their look before any paparazzi set pics leak, though.

On another note, can't wait to see what Jonathan Sela brings to this film, as well as Peter Deming on New Mutants. Hope we get something as distinct as Mathieson's work on Logan.

That set pic was originally posted by Ryan Reynolds on Instagram, so that probably doesn't mean that Kapicic is (currently) on set. Doesn't seem like it, as he appears to be in Los Angeles right now.

It's true. Digital has come a long way, even though film still has the upper hand IMO.

I'd love for this to be shot on film. But maybe that little tag isn't even indicative of the format they're using. I haven't been able to make out what cameras there are on set from those pap pics.

Anyway, Jonathan Sela last shot A Good Day to Die Hard on film (don't let that discourage you, Sela's lighting and photography is still gorgeous... if only John Moore hadn't gone for the heavy shaky cam...), which came out in 2013. So, who knows...

I wanna say there were about 30 movies released in 35mm last year out of something like 700. When it comes to work flow and price there's just too many pros with digital and the quality nowadays is by far up to par for the majority of professionals.

Be awesome if they shot on film, though given the amount of improv in the series I'd be surprised with this one. But more power to them.

Film notices for Deadpool 2, which is using a pair of production titles (Caribbean Blue and DAISY), have been plastered around downtown Vancouver.

On Tuesday night, between 7 and 11 p.m., crews will be shooting a rooftop scene on the small tower at 1090 West Pender Street.Cranes with lights will be in place on Thurlow and Cordova to illuminate the set. The area will be “brighter than usual,” according to the production notices.

Deadpool 2 moves to Gastown on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with the 300 block of Cambie Street being used as the site for various scenes of Marvel mayhem featuring crashes and a character getting hit by a car.

The gritty alleys next to Pub 340 and Revolver coffee will also become movie sets.

The filming schedule on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will conclude each night with a late-night (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) rooftop shoot at 314 West Cordova, the building that houses the Frank & Oak clothing store.

Traffic control will be in place and members of the Vancouver Police Department will be present each night to secure the area.

Production on Deadpool 2, which has Reynolds back in the titular role as the foul-mouthed comic book anti-hero, is expected to wrap on Oct. 6. While in Vancouver, Reynolds is rumoured to be staying in a Gastown loft that he recently purchased for the long shoot.

The original Deadpool earned $780 million on a $58-million budget to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever.

Reynolds’ co-stars Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller are reprising their respective roles as Deadpool’s love interest and best friend in the sequel. New to the cast this time around are Josh Brolin (No Country For Old Man) as Cable, a mutant super soldier from the future, and Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as the mutant mercenary Domino.

Deadpool 2 is scheduled for a June 2018 release.

I was just thinking, perhaps dropping Cable and Domino pics during SDCC would be something to compensate for not coming to SDCC. It'd be nice fanservice, especially since they won't have footage ready probably to show off.

Anyway, let's not get our hopes up re: the "35mm" tag on the clapper board.

I just found out that the X-Men: Days of Future Past clapperboard, which was shot digitally and in 3-D, had a "25mm" tag on it:

So 35mm is probably they lens they were using for that shot, instead of the format.

Well, Reese and Wernick have said that the sequel could include some more obscure characters, but didn't get specific.

Even though we're getting set photos here, casting there, while this production is nowhere near as secretive as Logan, I do like that we're not getting everything spelled out. Heck, we don't even know if Jack Kesy really IS playing Black Tom, just that he's cast, which I like.
