So since the movie is coming out this week, we have reviews coming in and hypers who have seen it. This thread is for those who want to talk about the film freely and keep the normal discussion thread for those who do not want to be spoiled.

If this thread already exist or is not allowed, my mistake.

Other than that, well....feel free to discuss.

Just got back from watching a sneak preview of Deadpool.

Not my cup of tea. What's with all the excessive gore, violence and profanity throughout the entire movie?

In my opinion, gore, violence and profanity does not necessary translates into a good superhero movie.

Seriously, can Ryan Reynolds only play comedic superhero movies? First Green Lantern and now this.

I have to sit through the whole movie looking at heads and body parts being blown off or mutilated and enduring Ryan Reynolds cracking jokes after jokes and cursing all the time.

After a while, it just gets annoying and I wish Deadpool can just shut his mouth.

My biggest gripe with this movie.... Wade is supposed to be disfigured and look horrifying , but the truth is.....his so called "disfigured" face doesn't look really that scary or ugly at all. They make it such a big deal in the movie, but I can honestly say he looks much better than The Thing from Fantastic Four.

Maybe they should just fire the person who does the make up.

And they introduce Colossus and that little D-list mutant girl.

I'm fine with Colossus in this movie but why introduce a D or maybe Z-list mutant whom most people knows nothing of??

Whoever heard of NegaSonic Teenage Warhead? They could have choose and use other mutants from Xavier's school and this is the best that they can come up with??

And why do they have to make Colossus such a weakling in this?

First in "Days of Future Past" and now this movie?

Poor guy couldn't even defeat Angel Dust all by himself and needs the help of that little mutant girl?

And that love interest. She is just there to have a montage of sex scenes with Wade and then gets kidnapped by the main villain , only to be rescued by Wade in the end...and that's it.

And forget about the after credits scene. It's just Deadpool talking to the audience, saying there is a sequel and Cable is in it. And of course, cracking some lame jokes as usual.

So guys how much sex and nudity is in the movie?

There is a montage of sex scene with Vanessa and Wade where they have sex throughout the year....on different festivals/celebrations.....like Halloween,Thanksgiving, Chinese New Year.....

You get to see Vanessa nude, but her hands are covering her breasts, but other than that you get to see the side view of her naked body... and you get to see the side view of Wade's naked body....

And then I think they have sex during christsmas, and then you see Wade wearing a Christsmas sweater, and then you see Wade's backside...and then he goes and pee....and you sees his entire back....

And then there the scene after Wade gets disfigured, he is fighting in the nude in the fire with Ajax. You get to see his penis after he gets impaled by a metal rod from Ajax. But it's so far away and the penis is like covered in shadow??

There is a scene at a strip club where you see a few female strippers and they are topless and I guess full frontal??.....because I didn't see them wearing underwear

During the torture montage scene, you get to see Wade naked....example: crouching naked lying on the floor.

hmmm.....haven't caught the movie. But saw the leaked end credits scenes.

So.... cable is in deadpool 2......... awesome.

There's a little montage of Wade and Vanessa's time together shown through sex scenes through different holiday's like Halloween etc but only about two minutes or so and I'd say it's more funny than sexy.

I f'n loved it. The opening credits scene is genius and works perfectly.

Ryan was born to play Deadpool. Simple as.

''Which one, McAvoy or Stewart?'' line was brilliant and the scene where Deadpool knocks on the door to the X Mansion was as well. :funny:

Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (aka Sinead O'Connor) were fine, with Colossus being the over friendly giant who wants Deadpool to act more like a hero.

The jokes are aplenty and some do miss, but I was laughing at most of them. Especially when he's with Blind Al. His hand growing back! :lmao:

The way it was weaving between past and present was done really well too. Tim Miller did a fantastic job as first time director.

So 9 out of 10?

I think probably 6/10. It's basically a revenge/love story.

I'm just not really a fan of gore and violence in movies. And this movie has so much of it.

Not trying to play the sexist card, but really all the people that gets brutally, mutilated killed are men

You never see Deadpool badly hurting a woman. Even in that monage scenes, where Deadpool is killing people, asking them "Where is Ajax?".... they were all men... I think he did thrown? two women across the room?, but he immediately stopped after that.

The only female who gets brutally hurt is... Angel Dust during her fight scene with Colossus. But even then, she never has any visible bruises or blood on her body at all.

If someone could please answer:-

1. Do we see a Hugh Jackman/Wolverine cameo in this movie?

2. How accelerated is Deadpools healing factor in this movie? Is it basically the same as Wolverine's in the X-Men movies.

1. No. Only a picture of Hugh's face on a magazine and when Wade is wearing Hugh's face as a mask when Vanessa unmasks him for the first time.

2. Slower I think. He cuts his own hand off to escape from Colossus and it grows back over a bit of time. He has a tiny baby-like hand in one scene. :lmao:

No. But he is being mentioned and refrenced in the movie...example: magazines cover of Hugh Jackson's sexiest man alive...

and during the finale, where Wade reveals his disfigured face to Vanessa, he is wearing a mask of Hugh Jackman before Vanessa takes it off and sees his disfigured face for the very first time.

I think his healing is very slow. He cuts off his hand to escape from Colossus....but after that when he is with the blind old lady, his growing hand is still like a baby's hand.

The opening credits is literally one big joke and not to be taken seriously at all.

And what's with the bizzare use of songs in this movie? You have Halloween's Mr Sandman and even Peter Cetera's You're the inspiration during the final battle scene.

And even more bizzare, as Vanessa is lying on the floor, injured, wounded, you see animated cartoons, cute little unicorn, Yes, I am not lying........ appearing by her side.

Appreciate the replies! Thank you!

I'm surprised about his healing factor though, I thought it would be around the same as Wolverine's etc but neverless, it still sounds great!

It's past midnight now. I need to sleep. Maybe I can answer some questions tomorrow.

But one more thing, the main bad guy...he is like so smoking hot with a hot, sexy british accent....He is like literally the hottest villain in a movie.

If I were Wade, I would have choose him over that Vanessa girl.

I think the smaller wounds maybe and we never see that, but he cuts off his own hand for God sake! :funny:

That will take some time to heal.

His line to Blind Al about his d*** feeling bigger in the tiny hand. Oh LAWD. :lmao:

I'm surprised they reuse the dialogue from this X-Men Origins Wolverine TV spot.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED that a Deadpool movie that has an R rating adapting a character that has been ultra violent since his debut would have gore and violence and foul language. There couldn't possibly have been anyway anyone who went to see this film after viewing the red band trailer, following it's ad campaign and listening to it's various stars and creators in interviews would have known what it's content would be like.

Is Jed a troll or is he genuinely surprised? It's Deadpool ffs

Jed's probably trolling, just came back from it and it was awesome, especially the 4th wall comedy it was the genius part of the film. :funny:

My only gripe with it was the runtime of the film not use to cbm films under 2 hours lol, film finished quick.

Still amazing though.

8.5/10

Literally can not keep the smile from my face after seeing this.

So much to like about it.

Can not wait to go back and see it all again.

Saw it three days ago and loved it. The action scenes were awesome, and Ryan Reynolds was on fire. (The Pizza scene was one of my favorites.)

Can i just say that the opening credits was brilliant. :funny:

Yeah. That is now definitely my fav opening credit of all time. Gold.
