Just got back from watching a sneak preview of Deadpool.
Not my cup of tea. What's with all the excessive gore, violence and profanity throughout the entire movie?
In my opinion, gore, violence and profanity does not necessary translates into a good superhero movie.
Seriously, can Ryan Reynolds only play comedic superhero movies? First Green Lantern and now this.
I have to sit through the whole movie looking at heads and body parts being blown off or mutilated and enduring Ryan Reynolds cracking jokes after jokes and cursing all the time.
After a while, it just gets annoying and I wish Deadpool can just shut his mouth.
My biggest gripe with this movie.... Wade is supposed to be disfigured and look horrifying , but the truth is.....his so called "disfigured" face doesn't look really that scary or ugly at all. They make it such a big deal in the movie, but I can honestly say he looks much better than The Thing from Fantastic Four.
Maybe they should just fire the person who does the make up.
And they introduce Colossus and that little D-list mutant girl.
I'm fine with Colossus in this movie but why introduce a D or maybe Z-list mutant whom most people knows nothing of??
Whoever heard of NegaSonic Teenage Warhead? They could have choose and use other mutants from Xavier's school and this is the best that they can come up with??
And why do they have to make Colossus such a weakling in this?
First in "Days of Future Past" and now this movie?
Poor guy couldn't even defeat Angel Dust all by himself and needs the help of that little mutant girl?
And that love interest. She is just there to have a montage of sex scenes with Wade and then gets kidnapped by the main villain , only to be rescued by Wade in the end...and that's it.
And forget about the after credits scene. It's just Deadpool talking to the audience, saying there is a sequel and Cable is in it. And of course, cracking some lame jokes as usual.
