Sounds like Devin Faraci hated it.
Is he the guy that hates most films in this genre?

He's within most critic percentages , but there's definitely things he goes after. He can talk alot of **** though, which is why I think alot of fans get mad.
I agree with him more then not on films, but every now and then I completely disagree with his opinions like with Batman Begins, Paprika and Blade Runner. But that's the case with everyone. We all have our tastes.
Well, Devin Faraci loved Fantastic Four.
Yeah, offbeat choices help other studios feel more confident with their success. I imagine Deadpool's success will not only help influence Fox's future films, but I think other studios will take notice.
No more PG-13 Robocop bs.
You are not understanding my point at all. I'm not talking about how GOTG changed the game with it's rating. I'm talking about how a D list line up of characters who were marketed as being the *******s of the Marvel universe that included a raccoon and a tree managed to gross more then Captain America and X-Men in August. That didn't go ignored by other studios, Deadpool's writer flat out said "Deadpool owes Guardians a huge debt". They have been trying to make Deadpool for years. If GOTG failed you may have seen a more conventional list of comic films this year. That filmed helped motivate success with other properties.
Technically, that honor belongs to the first BLADE movie, and later, the first IRON MAN movie.

This isn't a spoiler filled review, I just put it in spoiler tags just incase someone gets mad that I put out a review
Well if you've been following this movie they've showed about 80% of the movie in trailers and clips. The pacing is really bad, the jokes are fine in the beginning then grow tiresome after a while. A lot of time is spent setting up the orgin which would be fine if the movie was 2hr+. CG is very bad and low budget. He did say that the characters are pretty much how they are in the comics and Reynolds is perfect as Deadpool. Also he liked Warhead. Basically he said that if Fox gave them a bigger budget then they would be able to correct those mistakes. It seems like the leaked script from years ago is the same one they used in this movie minus a few things
He said the movie will only appeal to 14 year old basement dwellers...or something similar to that.
It wouldn't surprise me if this film puts off a lot of critics.
It wouldn't surprise me if this movie puts off many moviegoers who don't read the comics.

Based on all of the hardcore selfish "adult" comic book fans who kept pushing and begging for this movie to be R rated (and having a hissy fit over any suggestion of a PG-13 cut), I can see how he would come to that conclusion.
7/10 is fun by your standards? That's pretty average to me. That's how I feel about Iron-Man 2 and 3.
Shame we won't see Taskmaster vs Deadpool.![]()
