Haha I think he'll be good this time.

Glad to see Nicieza is at the premiere along with Lifeld. Lifeld usually gets all the credit. Anyone who's seen it notice if both names appear on screen?

I know in the freeway scene, there's an Easter Egg with Nicieza's name on the freeway sign. Liefeld said on Twitter he fought for Nicieza's name to be on the film, though I don't know if it's as a credit or like an Easter Egg in the film.

The good vibes from this film just keep on coming. We're all winners here.

Say what you want about Liefield's art, he does seem like a good guy.

I've seen him act uncalled for a few times, a certain incident with Scott Snyder comes to mind. But usually Liefeld is awesome. Especially with fans.

It's kinda surreal to me right now, a few years ago I thought we'd never get a Deadpool film, or even see the character get his due in live action for a long time, and now we're getting a movie that seems to be pushing all the right buttons that comes out in just a few days, can't wait to see it.

This is truly the golden age!

Long live the golden age!

What's your take on my point? You'd be happy with a DP movie with the violence level of the Wolverine films? I.e no blood.

Yes I would be happy with a DP movie with the violence level of the Wolverine films. As long as the action/fight scenes are cool as hell and DP is still killing people, I could care less if there was very little or no blood at all.

Blade X, did you name yourself after a character who has appeared in 3 Rated R films? :3

I named myself after one of my favorite comic book characters who first appeared in an all ages CCA approved Marvel comic (TOMB OF DRACULA #10) and who later went onto appear in other CCA approved Marvel comics, Marvel's non CCA approved B&W magazines from the 70's (which were aimed at older teens and adults),the 90's SPIDER-MAN cartoon, the 3 R rated BLADE movies, the BLADE anime, and in the USM and HULK AND THE AGENTS OF SMASH animated series. So what's your point?

His movie franchise was R-rated and no one whined this much about them being R-rated?

Somebody's feeling insecure about seeing Ryan Reynolds' junk in 3D. :p

It's R rated. It make sense for the film. This is an odd crusade.

Was that even really him or a prosthetic? I mean, it was a pretty wide shot. Seems like it could've been faked.

For me there's a huge difference between the green and red trailer.

After watching the red, the green is like eating a sandwich with only bread.

FYI I didn't mention DEADPOOL MAX at all. I mentioned Deadpool Vol 2, Deadpol Vol 3, Yost/Kyle X-Force, Dealpool kills and Uncanny X-Force by Remender. More then enough examples for you to get the point.

I know you didn't mention the DP MAX series. My point was/is that the DP MAX series was an all out R rated DP book (which many people here in this thread keep saying that DP is an R rated character) and that it was also a complete sales failure.

Go on youtube and see how many hits all the reaction vids for the game got from youtubers like Pewdie pie. Count those up and get back to me. If you don't think that has played into how this younger gen has seen Deadpool your crazy. First month sales may have not been great but the game went to selling around 1 million (not counting digital) and was even remastered on next gen. Something that many Marvel games do not get. Stop downplaying.

And when the SNAKES ON A PLANE movie was announced a lot teenagers and adults online were raving about and saying how "cool" the concept for that movie was many months before it even came out. The filmmakers even listened to suggestions from the online fan communities and shot new scenes for the movie to improve it. And surprise, the movie flopped. And I'm pretty sure that this new generation of DP fans most likely became familiar with DP in the HULK VS WOLVERINE PG-!# rated animated movie, NOT the M rated video game. And the video game was released again in order to cash in on the movie, not because there was a great demand for it.

How can you have the audacity to generalize all those fans with comments like this. You want people to strictly make Deadpool products by your standard only and not what has been out there for years now. Why should anyone see your point when you can't see theirs and are generalizing everyone as selfish?

I said "MOST" NOT "ALL" of those fans. FYI, I said that I would be OK with a soft R rated DP movie. However, I think that for the most part most (if not all) Deadpool movies should aim for a PG-13 rating.

Duggans Run and Remender's UXF are known as two of the best Deadpool books out there. Often put next to Kellys.

FYI, Remender's UXF was NOT a DP comic. It is an X-Force comic with DP in it as a member of the team. And those creator's runs on those books were still canceled and relaunched in order to boost sales.

Does anyone say, I wish Dredd, Predator or Robocop (80's version) should've been PG-13?

Hell no.

I suggest you drop it Blade X. A Mod has already told you to take it easy.

Yeah, Blade X, I can sympathize with your side, and understand your concerns, even if I'm personally glad to see it be rated R, but this debate ended some time ago, and you lost , the film officially releases in mere days, there's no debate to be had anymore.

Why exactly should you do that, when guns and swords are his main traits when he's in action? And let's not forget the hilariously gory scenes whenever he loses some limbs or organs down the line.

Sometimes a PG-13 rating is simply unnecessary and you'd have to tone down so much. That's one of those cases.

Remove the blood and gore and those scenes would be perfectly suitable for a PG-13 rating.

But the blood has always been present in (non-MAX) comics - I don't wanna remove it! ;)

So what? That doesn't change the fact it's one of Deadpool's most respected stories and very adult oriented. I mentioned this in addition to his ongoings.
And those creator's runs on those books were still canceled and relaunched in order to boost sales.
Name one Marvel title that hasn't been relaunched. The purpose of Marvel Now and All New Marvel Now were for relaunching all of Marvel's titles. Not just one. UXF ended it's run and parts of that storyline transitioned into Uncanny Avengers while Betsy and Fantomex started a new UXF with a different writer. UXF ended right when relaunch madness hit DC and Marvel.

We don't live in a time where Marvel volumes keep going. Funny enough Duggans Deadpool was one of the longest running titles of Marvel Now and that volume ended in blood soaked revenge.

Yes, but his movie franchise was a soft R. Also, while those movies were successful (well, at least the first 2 movies were hits) at the box office, they weren't huge hits. Also, to most moviegoers, the Blade movies were not superhero movies, they were R rated action movie with vampires in it. I would argue that the first Blade movie had to be R rated in order for the source material to be taken seriously. Remember, before the first Blade movie, comic book superhero movies were not taken or treated seriously.

That being said, if a superhero movie is going to be rated R, the Blade movies, the first Robocop movie, the Punisher movies, and the Darkman movies are how they should be done. Those movies were a "soft" R and could easily be edited for regular TV.

There's nothing soft R about the Blade films. R-rating is an R-rating. Who cares about a TV edit?

Hell no.

DREDD was a box office flop (despite being a good movie, IMO). Both PREDATOR and ROBOCOP were not property's originally created for and aimed at all ages. Deadpool, despite what some selfish fans might want to believe, was originally a character created for and/or aimed at all ages.
