It's kinda surreal to me right now, a few years ago I thought we'd never get a Deadpool film, or even see the character get his due in live action for a long time, and now we're getting a movie that seems to be pushing all the right buttons that comes out in just a few days, can't wait to see it.
What's your take on my point? You'd be happy with a DP movie with the violence level of the Wolverine films? I.e no blood.
Blade X, did you name yourself after a character who has appeared in 3 Rated R films? :3
FYI I didn't mention DEADPOOL MAX at all. I mentioned Deadpool Vol 2, Deadpol Vol 3, Yost/Kyle X-Force, Dealpool kills and Uncanny X-Force by Remender. More then enough examples for you to get the point.
Go on youtube and see how many hits all the reaction vids for the game got from youtubers like Pewdie pie. Count those up and get back to me. If you don't think that has played into how this younger gen has seen Deadpool your crazy. First month sales may have not been great but the game went to selling around 1 million (not counting digital) and was even remastered on next gen. Something that many Marvel games do not get. Stop downplaying.
How can you have the audacity to generalize all those fans with comments like this. You want people to strictly make Deadpool products by your standard only and not what has been out there for years now. Why should anyone see your point when you can't see theirs and are generalizing everyone as selfish?
Duggans Run and Remender's UXF are known as two of the best Deadpool books out there. Often put next to Kellys.
So what are you going to do when this is successful.
Why exactly should you do that, when guns and swords are his main traits when he's in action? And let's not forget the hilariously gory scenes whenever he loses some limbs or organs down the line.
Sometimes a PG-13 rating is simply unnecessary and you'd have to tone down so much. That's one of those cases.
Remove the blood and gore and those scenes would be perfectly suitable for a PG-13 rating.
So what? That doesn't change the fact it's one of Deadpool's most respected stories and very adult oriented. I mentioned this in addition to his ongoings.FYI, Remender's UXF was NOT a DP comic. It is an X-Force comic with DP in it as a member of the team.
Name one Marvel title that hasn't been relaunched. The purpose of Marvel Now and All New Marvel Now were for relaunching all of Marvel's titles. Not just one. UXF ended it's run and parts of that storyline transitioned into Uncanny Avengers while Betsy and Fantomex started a new UXF with a different writer. UXF ended right when relaunch madness hit DC and Marvel. And those creator's runs on those books were still canceled and relaunched in order to boost sales.
His movie franchise was R-rated and no one whined this much about them being R-rated?
Yes, but his movie franchise was a soft R. Also, while those movies were successful (well, at least the first 2 movies were hits) at the box office, they weren't huge hits. Also, to most moviegoers, the Blade movies were not superhero movies, they were R rated action movie with vampires in it. I would argue that the first Blade movie had to be R rated in order for the source material to be taken seriously. Remember, before the first Blade movie, comic book superhero movies were not taken or treated seriously.
That being said, if a superhero movie is going to be rated R, the Blade movies, the first Robocop movie, the Punisher movies, and the Darkman movies are how they should be done. Those movies were a "soft" R and could easily be edited for regular TV.
Does anyone say, I wish Dredd, Predator or Robocop (80's version) should've been PG-13?
Hell no.
