"We did a tag that we really couldn't do -- which I can stick on the DVD. It would have been for Deadpool, and unfortunately it wouldn't have had the right costume for the character they're going to add to Deadpool [2]. I don't want to give that away."
Singer on the Apocalypse audio commentary regarding a stinger that didn't appear but sounds like it was shot.
It stands up to repeat viewings so well!
t: And I feel If I watch it again I'll enjoy it even more.Everytime I watch it it gets better. I watched in atleast 4 times, and you know what. That last time I had best experiencet: And I feel If I watch it again I'll enjoy it even more.
Deadpool is a special movie. It's like one of those action-adventure evergreen. Whenever I catch a movie like Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, The Goonies, Ghostbusters, Predator, RoboCop , The Matrix - and many more - on TV, wether I've seen them 500 or 600 times, I stay on to watch the rest of it.
And for me, this one's the same. It never gets old.
I don't agree on Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, as the first one's my favorite Marvel Studios movie, and the latter I've never liked, but I definitely agree on the humor in Deadpool.
These are possibly my 2 most rewatchable films of the year. Not getting at all bored with either of them, although I usually replay favourite parts of CW rather than sitting through it from beginning to end, and also don't watch the end every time as serious hero Vs hero is not as fun to me to endlessly rewatch.Same here, I think it will stand up to to repeat viewings better than CW, which after 3 viewings I am getting a little bit fed up of already. I have watched Deadpool about 5 times and could happily watch it again.
I agree with you. I enjoyed IM3 and TDW the first time I watched it and it all went downhill from there.
Surprisingly, Deadpool holds up better than Civil War on repeat viewings in my opinion. That's very odd considering I like Civil War more than Deadpool.

I think CW benefits more when you have watched many of the other MCU movies recently. Deadpool however I can put on anytime and have a blast with it.
Of course. Deadpool is almost a standalone despite references to X-Men. CW is an amalgamation of nearly all the heroes from the MCU to date and all their back stories are in those films and getting certain jokes and fully understanding certain relationships will depend on having seen those. It should be fine even seen without seeing those but it's definitely designed for those who have seen them.
I just don't find CW as entertaining without watching some of the MCU movies beforehand at least. Before my cinema viewing I did a MCU marathon and absolutely adored CW. That was the last time I watched any of them though so I find my enjoyment lessened when watching it in isolation. It's still a great movie of course, but I find Deadpool slowly but surely over taking it as my number 1 CBM of 2016.
It's cool and weird to see how different people's priorities are.
To me, a movie needs to stand and work on its own. I couldn't care less about it moving forward the 'universe story.' Which is why I never really understood the criticism of Iron Man 3 not moving forward the Marvel universe. The movie has its own (high) stakes, sets them up wonderfully, and delivers a wild ride on its own. That makes me care more about the story and the characters, as opposed to a movie which is just a small piece of the puzzle. Captain America: Civil War, for example, felt way too episodic to me to really care about it and to be able to appreciate it as much as I would've liked to as a piece of filmmaking. It felt like a big budget interlude between the Avengers previous and upcoming movies, which to me cannibalized the movie's stakes and storytelling. Which makes it a much less important movie to me, and can't stand out from being another episode in the Marvel universe series. Which is disappointing, as I really loved The Winter Soldier.
Deadpool on the other side stands on its own and works perfectly as a movie. It manages to establish a bigger world in which the X-Men live, while never losing focus from its core story.
