His breaking the fourth wall must be included

I agree, but I don't want to to be gratuitous. I know it's a big part of the comics (which I love by the way) but it could ruin the flow and pacing of the film if not done done in the right way. I'd like them to do it the way it's done in The Office and/or Parks & Rec, just subtle looks or comments to the camera.

I would love Jackman to cameo in Deadpool. Keep the Wolverine 100% appearance record going :D

^ that's exactly what i pictured (re: craigaat)

your post wasn't even there when i replied at first
i guess i took to long to respond cuz i was reading other stuff

I know this has probably been discussed already, but did DoFP eliminate the Wolverine solo movies from the timeline?

The movie heavily featured him grieving over Jean Grey's death. That was eliminated, so the new timeline doesn't include The Wolverine solo movies. Whether the third Wolverine movie is in the new timeline or old is an open question, though.

For me The Wolverine is still canon. Only difference would be he wasn't in the woods grieving over Jean and Yukio found him elsewhere.

Afterall he saved the guy in WWII and he was looking for Wolverine since after then so the time interference wouldn't alter that so he would've still sent Yukio to find Logan

****'s changed. Simple as that really. Till the next Wolverine who knows...

A point of clarification: Don't confuse canon and continuity. Technically, all the movies are canon. They're official movies to watch in the story. But, obviously, the timeline has changed. Apocalypse, at least, won't be in the same continuity as the original X-Men movies.

Well, he also kept having flashbacks to Jean dying throughout the film. His entire character journey of him finding himself again is dependent on Jean's death. It's possible to pretend similar events happened even without Jean's death, but it wouldn't be the same movie.

I read that this begins filming at North Shore studios, Vancouver at the end of the month.

So an unlikely chance of getting any spy pics at all. :(

So this is going up against Zoolander 2 next year. At first blush, I wasn't too nervous but if Z2 doesn't turn out to be a complete disappointment, could be competition.

I'm not so sure. Look at how well Kingsman is doing. Anchorman 2 only opened up to $26, I'm not so sure Zoolander will do much better. I think Deadpool will draw a bit of a bigger crowd than Kingsman. I actually hope that Kingsman will let Fox have the confidence to go with an R rating.

That's why I qualified by saying "If Zoolander 2 isn't a flop." If it's a legitimately good follow-up comedy, it could certainly be competition. Any movie is potential competition for this unless it's a huge tentpole.

President's weekend has been good to Fox comic flicks in the past. Daredevil and Kinsgmsn scored over 40m so I'm expecting Deadpool to do a bit better. Think we are looking at around 45-50m opening weekend personally.

Zoolander is tough to predict, but I think it will bring in another audience then Deadpool. It's fairly low budget too so I don't think there is much to lose there. That flick is almost 15 years old now so the younger audience will def go with Deapdool.

I would too. Lump me in with the GA, but I love Jackman as Wolverine. I hope Deadpool calls him Hugh though. :woot:

But, "isn't a flop" for Zoolander is different than "isn't a flop" for Deadpool. Anchorman 2 opened to $26 million and Dumb and Dumber Too opened to $36 million. And Kingsman showed you can have success with another successful movie that weekend. But even then, so, so much has to move into place for Zoolander to open big enough to be competition.

The first Zoolander movie didn't even earn that much at the box-office, I mean it wasn't a $100 million box-office hit in North America.

However, there's a lot of other wide film releases in the opening weekend of Deadpool. I think it would hurt it a bit.

Deadpool is not going to be a 100 million budgeted film.

If Fox can make Kingsman a hit when many thought it would get killed by fifty shades of gray.Kingsman has made 100 Million domesticly.Matthew Vaughn's bigest non-X-Men film.

So has shooting started? Or is that later in the month?
