The Jane Punisher movie is VERY under-rated, even now I can watch it and still enjoy, War Zone was a joke, Jane should definitely have gotten another shot as Frank.
But they are there, and they help round out the stories. Details matter. The Duggan run is easily the most gory. All your examples have been for violence so I don't think I'm mistaking anything. I've read the Kelly and Nicieza runs many times, and there are very little things that would need to be cut out that would make the character suffer. Fabian himself just posted on the matter.
If I wasn't following this project and the film makers for so long maybe I would agree more. I have full trust in the team they have. They themselves wanted it R, if they wrote a PG-13 script they thought still did justice to their vision. I'd have no issue.
I thought Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick's 2010 draft of the script was good, but left lots of space for improvement, especially regarding character development and other minor quibbles. Them licking corporate butt and watering down the script is definitely a step in the wrong direction, and not too trustworthy.
So should have writer/director Jonathan Hensleigh. I thought he did a wonderful job with The Punisher.
Hyperbole. Nothing is confirmed either. This team deserves alot more respect for sticking to the project this long. They don't wanna make a bad Deadpool movie.
Yup, mate. Word. Ahhh, I gotta rewatch The Punisher. It's been a while.Agreed, damn shame we didnt get to see their sequel, I thought he did a good job with The Punisher considering it was his 1st directorial effort.
X-M:A is just a few months away from filming. Given that, we should probably be even closer to hearing info about this, right?
He'd be a cool choice too.I know Baruchel gets thrown around for Weasel tonight, but how would anyone feel about Charlie Day?
“There’s definitely a sort of overall plan that we’ve all been talking about for the X-Men universe now,” Kinberg explained, “and Deadpool obviously fits into that. So yeah, I guess I would say it's part of certainly an overall timeline and thought process that goes into these films, some of which is inspired by the comics and some which is inspired by seeing what Marvel’s done with telling a larger tapestry and linking all those movies together, even as they stand independently as well. The same kind of thought is going to go into these X-Men movies at Fox.”
