Deadpool Deadpool Spin-off Confirmed - Part 2

Jackman isn't 100% sure about Apocalypse or Wolverine 3 so a Deadpool cameo might be out of the question. If they are including Weapon X in the movie then at least a Wolverine reference is a must though IMO.

The reason for him being not 100% was that he wasn't sure he could maintain the body since he is approaching 50.
But he looks almost sure to be in Apocalypse,so they can easily squeeze a cameo into that movie's schedule

Plus I think they would have to recast him sooner or later so that could begin with the Deadpool movie if Jackman decides to hangup his claws

Recast Wolverine?! No way. They got the tech to keep him looking young. HAHA! But yeah, he'll eventually be recast, which will be a difficult thing to do.

Glad we're getting Deadpool. Now I'll be even happier if its a Rated-R Deadpool.

With both Hugh jackman and producers talking about him filming Apocalypse and wolverine solo film back to back I wouldn't say he's not sure.
Well he did say that Wolverine 3's script had to good before he commits. So, at least one of those is still iffy.

I forgot about age playing a role in his decision. His Wolverine diet/excercise regime must be getting tougher and tougher now as the years go by. Even if the financial rewards are huge.

If they can't get him they can always do a CG cameo like the first Fantastic Four movie did.:oldrazz:

Yes, well, if he wore a comic book-inspired costume (like the one we saw in the future section of DoFP), his physique would matter a lot less. I would happily have him trade vein-popping musculature for a costume with a bit of padding in it. The shirtless shots don't really matter, to be honest. I don't want Jackman risking his health, especially since the character is not defined by his pecs.

If they still want male eye candy, then they can introduce some younger buff characters.

And cut the gratuitous Hugh Jackman nude scene? Fans expect to see his butt in these movies.

Due to them trying to keep the filming of Apocalypse and Wolverine close together for Jackman to keep his physique, and the schedule Deadpool would need to make Feb, I have a tough time seeing a cameo working out schedule wise. It could happen, but I wouldn't expect it at the moment.

If they stick close to the script, Jackmans face will show up one way or another...

^You big tease! :cwink: I personally dont see how it would be such a problem for his schedule showing up for a cameo, it would take what? A day to film, if that?

It's not really an in the flesh appearance with the script though haha.

Jackman is a big Deadpool fan allegedly, so I'm sure he would want to do a cameo if they had a role for him. He did the First Class one and always seems pretty dedicated to the franchise overall.

Id actually like to see him gravitate more to an X-Force team in the present so Cyc and crew can start getting all the time in X-Men films. If they could start setting up an X-Force at the end credits here and then build it more in The Wolverine 3 that would be pretty rad imo.

I've been saying this for years.Jackman could play the role for another 20 years if they'll just keep him in costume/cut out the shirtless stuff.

I just dont understand why do we need to have Hugh's face in all movies, when Marvel hasnt included Robert D. Jr in the solo movies, neither in Guardians.

Why is Fox so desperate for attention including their big actor all the time? its really not needed, and gets repetitive

Had a quick idea, if they are redoing Weapons X, and we don't know if Wolverine is even involved anymore, it would make sense that they may feature the new Weapons X with Deadpool. I don't want a rehash of a Origins set in the 80's per say, but it's a train of thought. Otherwise they may come up with a different origin if they don't bypass it completely.

That Wolverine face wasn't supposed to really match Hugh Jackman's face. Mr. Fantastic isn't a shape-shifter after all. But its weird though that he could change his face with facial hair.

And speaking of a Hugh Jackman cameo, I would rather see a tease to X-Force, if they are really planning to make that film after Deadpool and X-Force won't feature Wolverine right?

I'd prefer Domino and Cable showing up. But I'd have no problem with Wolverine if he is in X-Force. Safe to assume him or Cable would be the leader.

Also a lot to do with him raising the standard higher and higher with each movie, its incredible what he is prepared to go through to make the role better despite portraying it perfectly in so many films

That's what I love about him.He loves the character and wants to play it forever but at the same time has enough respect for him to let go when he feels he couldn't do him justice anymore

Wow!
Is that in the Fantastic Four movie?
How come I never noticed it before!

Because Wolverine needs to be the leader of the X-force
For me,a cameo in the Deadpool movie means less to do with that movie and more to do with setting up the X-force movie(something like Nick Fury in IM1)

Guardians was on the other side of the galaxy. They'd have to re-write the movie to feature him and the Guardians and Iron Man don't mix (except for the recent shoe-horning in their attempt to make him flagship) whereas Logan and Wade have crossed paths lots

I hope they've kept the leaked script and just toned down he swearing if the movie has to be PG-13. Deadpool's my favourite character on the X-Men side of things, don't screw him up Fox

It comes as no surprise but looks like this film is aiming for a PG-13. I am a little disappointed in the news but I do understand the reasoning behind it and I actually expected it.

I don't think it will be a huge issue, they just have to keep the swearing to a minimum and not have any actual blood like in the test footage.

F**k this crap! I'm quite angry about the rumors, and hope they turn out to be false. A PG-13 movie about a mercenary, a hired gun. Come on. Deadpool doesn't have grappling guns and spider-webs. He operates with guns, knives and sorts. He IS the ultimate R-rated superhero. PG-13 means no blood squibs. Means toned down crap. Means... Meh...

I was pissed at first, but realized rather quickly the movie can be made correctly without being R. I'd have Deadpool have a bit of fun with the censorship, a la Peter Griffin in PTV. Deadpool's a character where a writer can go ultra meta and self-aware with stuff like that. Besides, if they maximize revenue on ticket sales, they can do it again with a solid unrated cut on home release.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if they didn't make fun of it.

Still hoping for an unrated cut similar to The Wolverine.
