I agree with people saying they should tap an actor with Evan's frame. Slade is an assassin. He just looks big sometimes because of the bandoleer and extra plating he uses when in a war zone.

Although I'm somewhat partial to Pagulayan's take on the suit, either one will do just fine.

So to me, Deathstroke has always taken a cue from being Anti-Batman-but-more, and Evil!Captain America, which is just as much a part of who he was created to be as the anti-Batman concept was. I mean, look at Slade's costume and origins: he's an American combat veteran enhanced by super-science wearing blue scale armor with a preference for antiquated close combat weapons. That's all Evil!Captain America much more than evil Batman.

They can cast the guy who was almost Captain America.

Actually the top image is his new suit which has powers and the bottom is his previous suit. I agree though the suit shouldn't be too bulky I remember his initial nu52 design with the huge ass football pads/armor, ugh no thanks.

It's in my top 3 Rebirth books so far, Priest is killing it!

Eh extremely disappointing to have an actor like that in a DC movie, but it's hardly a character than merits Daniel Day Lewis.

Let's hope the stuntman knows his chop-socky and gets a better suit than the metallic road sign we have seen.

I like the casting. And I hope he does indeed show up in JL. I'm thinking he will; I figure DC/WB want to build as much buzz as they can for this film before they start building buzz for a Batman movie that comes out sometime in the next 5-10 years.

I'm pretty confident a guy whose latest listed projects are pee wee's big holiday & smurf's the lost village won't be a principal villain in a tent pole batman movie. Never gonna happen. And that's not just due to my own opinion, it's the reality of Hollywood movie making.

Joe is one of the few tall ass actors who can move fast/is flexible as hell. Or at least that I can think of right now.
