Detective Pikachu

Saw this with Grindelwald, and it actually got cheers as it started, lol

When this movie was first announced I immediately said this movie was going to be an inevitable failure but after seeing the trailer it looks like I’ll eat my words just like I did with Venom.

I guess he meant movie franchise? Altough I remember a couple of Poke movies released during the early aughts.
Yeah, this movie can be used to launch a movie franchise, there's immense potential. Sometimes, the attempts to launch a franchise are not that successful for example - Lara Croft, Universal's The Mummy (2017) (and many others like John Carter, Lone Ranger).

I'm glad they got Ryan Reynolds to voice Pikachu instead of Hugh Jackman. Imagine a Pikachu doll dressed as Wolverine, and with claws.

The trailer already has 42.8m views on YT after just 6 days.

But the even more impressive stat is the number of likes which is at 1.2m. It is 4th of all time for Hollywood movies behind A:IW 1st trailer, A:IW 2nd trailer & Venom's official trailer.

If they're going with the plot from the Nintendo game, it may be a Pokemon version of
Zootopia.

If we do, the motto needs to be there.

How... how would you even come to that conclusion?

This isn't your first post here. :o
