so what happened to esme and that whole story, i wasnt expecting her to just disappear.

what do you think 'something about harry' is? i was thinking about it and cant even imagine what doakes tells dexter about harry.

Maria ****ed Esme's fiance, Esme went crazy over it at work and got fired, Maria got her job back. What else really needed to happen in that storyline?

Rita needs to stop ****ing around with Dexter

I don't think Rita's done anything wrong. Dexter admitted to ****ing Lila so she broke up with him. Perfectly reasonable. Now Dexter's done with Lila and Rita knows he regrets it and still loves her and the kids, so she's giving him another chance. Frankly, Rita's being a bloody saint with this whole thing. She's not obligated to let Dexter back into her life by any means, and her kids would get over Dexter in time.

oh i forgot she was fired, i thought she was suspended....

and dex f***** lila after they broke up right? she dumped him bc of the voicemail didnt she?

This is by far my favorite show on television right now and on top of that, there hasn't been a bad episode, nor is there a bad character. I saw in some earlier posts people who don't like Maria, I think she is one of my favorites. I love all the characters....

Last nights episode was insanely good...one of the best and intense epsiodes I've ever seen in a show...

i think i just dont like the actress that plays maria, i dont like how she looks, it gets to me hahah

Yeah, but that hardly makes it all right. How would you feel if you broke up with a significant other and they went out that night and ****ed someone else?

oh yea im not disagreeing....it just seems to me that rita thinks he was doing it when they were together.

Yeah, I think she still does. But Dexter didn't really try to correct her on it because it all works out the same either way. It's a betrayal, plain and simple.

it seems like the bay harbor butcher storyline is gonna end next episode, theres prbably gonna be a huge event happen in the end of episode 10....i dont know how the writers keep outdoing the previous episode each week, but they manage to do so.

That's a tough call. I loved the Dexter/Brian stuff, but this season is really good with Dex, Lundy and Doakes. Once this season ends, maybe I'll have an answer.

Did anyone get a real Hitchcockian vibe from last night's episode? Christ, they even had the Hitchcock zoom. The tension and the fear of being found out, oh man, it was just so intense. Outstanding. It should be noted that Marcos Siega was the guest director of the episode. Great job by him.

Season 2 for me. I spoiled myself a bit with season 1, so I knew how it ended, which took a bit of the fun out. Beyond that, though, this season is just a lot more fun. It's taking a lot more risks, especially since it's not just aping a book's plot again.

I'm liking Season 2 a lot better, myself. It's a lot more engaging, and Dexter's a lot more human. In Season 1, it seemed like he stayed with Rita because it was a good cover for being normal. This season has developed his character a lot more, and we get to see that Dex truely loves Rita and the kids. He really is a pretty well adjusted sociopath. It's awesome. Plus, the addition of Lundy has helped greatly. I really like his character. And I've also noticed that I like Doakes a lot more as the series progresses. I hated him before. Mostly, I hated the actor's "standard angry black cop" routine. But the writers have developed his and LaGuerta's characters a lot this season, and I'm liking him a lot more.

Agreed 100%. I'm starting to scoff whenever Dexter talks about being such a monster. He clearly cares about those kids and about Rita and about Deb.

Totally. Although I don't like Lila for him, I think she definitely helped him see that he is who he is, and it doesn't always have to be a struggle for him. That, along with realizing that Rita is the one for him, has put him a much better place. He's lot more balanced.

Of course the **** just hit the fan, so, you know. His newly reached equilibrium might be put to the test.

Angel's one of my favorite characters on the show. His reaction to Deb's outburst about herself and Lundy was hilarious. :D

Yeah, he's taken a backseat it seems this season. Even Masuka gets more screen time.

Eh, he's there when it counts. I don't need major subplots for him or anything; I just like seeing him now and then.
